Great Nephrologist!!!! Dr. Rana is an awesome physician! When I first met Dr. Rana, while in the hospital, I was instantly impressed with his bedside manner and compassion towards me as a patient. Two great qualities I look for from a physician. Dr. Rana is definitely knowledgeable in his field. He is easy to speak with about any concerns. Dr. Rana is a very detail oriented physician who is very precise and thorough. His staff is extremely friendly and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Rana as a nephrologist!!!!

Dr. Irmindra Rana and his dedicated staff cared for our sister throughout her long battle with kidney disease. They were personally involved and attentive to her as a patient, and to our family as her caregivers. They were quick to respond to our questions and needs as our sister’s health declined. Dr. Rana was always respectful, and treated our sister with dignity and compassion. Our family is grateful for him and his staff, and we believe his care extended our sister’s life. I have been going to Dr. Rana for about 4 years and he is wonderful. Very concerned about his patients and has always been there for me. I have a chronic kidney disease, but since under Dr. Rana, my visits have been very few, but when I do have flare ups, I call him and he is right there for me and most of the time the problem is solved. I highly, highly recommend him. I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Rana is an Icon MD! He is passionate, intelligent and caring for his patients! Dr. Rana always takes time to explain to his patients the issues, diagnosis and plan of care. He saved our brother in-law’s life! When all other three doctors could not find out what happened to him! We are grateful for his expertise, and compassion. If we could give him 6 stars we would!

He Saved My Life Dr Rana is a life saver, he saved my life twice. First time while in the hospital experiencing another Hypertensive Crises he was summoned and diagnosed my somewhat rare condition. It turns out I had for over 10 years but never diagnosed, thus resulting in a previous Stroke. So now I am under the care of this doctor who maintains my well being. Second time he noticed that I looked 'under the weather'. Requested a blood test then had me admitted immediately. The hospital was expecting me and proceeded to treat me based on Dr Rana's direction. Left untreated, the consequences could have been terminal. In addition to seeing patients in his multiple offices, Dr Rana attends to patients in several hospitals and dialysis centers. So I can understand if occasionally one has to wait a little longer for their scheduled appointments. Bottom line, he manages and cares for his patients very conscientiously.

DR Rana was my Doctor since 2008, starting at Alexandria Hospital and later in his office at Arlington till today April 25 2018, really cares about his Patients and has a courteous and very friendly staff too.

Dr. Rana has been my mom's nephrologist for the last 10 years and to say that she's extremely comfortable with his diagnosis and treatment would be an understatement. Dr. Rana spends time with his patients during each appointment - he discusses options and provides advice. One night I called his service to let him know my mother's levels were high. Dr. Rana took his time to call me back and asked me to bring my mom into the office the following day. He took the time to call me. He is truly a caring and highly competent doctor who I highly recommend. he has a wonderful way with elderly patients - my mother hardly trusts any other doctor.
