List of Kenneth J Lin Md's Reviews
I have seen Dr. Lin twice, and I have been trying to see him for the past 2 years with the feeling he has been avoiding me. I have set up appointments with him, but he has rescheduled or I have been appointed a different doctor. He was definitely invested in my health, and he understands what he is talking about but I always get the feeling that he doesn’t trust me. Maybe I’m a difficult patient and I come loaded with questions. He questioned my prescriptions initially and we agree I should come off of them someday, but he still always fills them and I haven’t been in to see him. I have messaged him about health concerns and he never replied. He questioned if I take any "supplements" he doesn't know about. I'm a big dude so he's right to question if I've taken steroids, but he beats around the bush too much and then acts like he doesn't believe me by repeated questioning. He's helped many people and isn't a bad doctor I just think he doesn't have time for everyone.
I waited 7 weeks for an appointment with Dr. Lin. He cancelled on me a few days before saying that he is not accepting new patients. Very unprofessional.

When I visited Dr. Lin about a growth on my thigh, he spent only a minute with me. He told me my concern was baseless and assured me that the growth was a harmless lipoma. Fortunately, my wife insisted I get a second opinion. It took two months to get in but the "harmless lipoma" turned out to be a life threatening cancer (soft tissue sarcoma). I would never recommend Dr. Lin. His pleasant smile and reassuring style is no substitute for quality care. He did no biopsy, scheduled no MRI nor did he refer me to a specialist.
Almost 10 years Dr. Lin has been my general practitioner. He found my very rare autoimmune illness. He persistently continued investigating until he had identified my illness. Dr. Lin listens carefully and therefore it is easy to communicate with him. He has broad medical knowledge and clearly and patiently explains his conclusions to patients.
Dr. Lin is the best doctor I have had in my 66 years Of life. He is kind and encouraging . He listens to me and believes what I tell him about my body . He pushes me to take care of myself when I’m avoiding it . He has taken the time to understand me so he knows when to push me . His medical care is outstanding . I told him today that he was worth living in DC for even if my grandchildren were in Florida . My husband was at my appointment today and was very impressed with him. He says Dr. Lin has my proverbial number. I trust Dr. Lin even if I don’t like what he is telling me to do . Because I trust him, I follow his instructions .
Dr. Lin has been my primary care physician for years. He is the best. As others have mentioned, he always has time to listen, ask questions, and review information to ensure shots etc are up to date. He has a wonderful bedside manner, is patient and kind. The staff at the clinic are great also. I look forward to my visits, knowing I will be in good hands and advice on how I can do better is shared in a non-judgmental manner.
I called in Dec 2016 for an appt. Dr Lin was my primary until 2012. He may be a decent Internist and went to the same High School as my sister. Thou his office staff and email confirmation is horrible. Called again last week for an annual physical and will PAY CASH- nope same usual behavior. I am 57 and putting them out. If Dr.Dale Matthews had not moved to Reston I would not be back at this pathetic customer service office.Who knows perhaps my Vet can handle a human physical and blood work. Why not ? This office is sad.
He always smile. recommended one of my girl friend to go to him, both of us are very satisfy. The nurses some of them looks stress out, also busy n my rating to them are B-. One time I waited almost 45minutes but I did not complain cause is a good doctor to wait for. I give A rating to Mr. Lin, but the clinic staffs attitude some of them are not friendly especially when coffee finished. I understood this is not their job but needs to respect patients if they request for the coffee.
He is a compassionate doctor who truly shows that he cares about the well-being of patients. He also, very clearly, shows that he is not after your money. It is quite amazing that he will give 12 month prescriptions, unlike many doctors. So, if there are no medical problems during the course of the year, it is not necessary to see the doctor. Some doctors require a lot of visits and will not give prescriptions for more than 1 or 2 months. Of course, Dr. Lin does follow-up and monitor when needed. When I had abnormal tests for liver function, I definitely went in to see him several times for repeat tests. He is a great internist who has done some special procedures for me. He is great with a knife. He removed a carbuncle from my neck and another growth. He always wears a very warm smile. He nudges me about my weight, too. He is simply wonderful. I have seen quite a number of doctors over the years. Dr. Lin is great. He is near the Virginia Square Metro.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
