Medstar Health: Physical Therapy At Ballston-Marymount's Online Review Report Card

My experience with MedStar Physical Therapy in Ballston (Arlington,Va) was phenomenal. The PT Nicole Shenk and Brian Brown were great. I had a TKE on my left knee. Though I’m my worst enemy for trying to game the system by over working my knee towards recovery. These 2 kept me on track. I highly recommend this clinic and these two professionals.

I’m an avid golfer who developed tendonosis in my wrist. Medstar has a hand, wrist and elbow specialist, Roshanak, who nursed me back to health, enhanced flexibility in my wrist, and provided a plan to limit reoccurrences in the future, so ultimately I can enjoy playing the game of golf long into my future.

I was referred to Ballston PT by my sister, a nurse, who had major problems resulting from a fall and surgery. While my issues were different, I was beginning to change my lifestyle for fear of falling and periodic bouts of pain that were debilitating. I started working with Tracy in November 2022. Three months later I am feeling the results. Tracy is professional, and.very positive . She is on top of my needs as they have changed over the months. I am feeling much more stable. I have an exercise plan that is challenging not exhausting. It's funny, I feel some of my clothes fitting differently and I find the.'homework very doable. I highly recommend Tracy Baker. I highly recommend MedStar Health Ballston! The physical therapists are great and the entire team is supportive and friendly. The facility is very well run and responsive to client needs. And the therapist that I worked with was caring, very skilled and absolutely fabulous!

Who knew you could do physical therapy for vertigo!? I was diagnosed with vertigo out of nowhere – couldn’t look up, down, left or right without the world spinning upside down. Had to sleep sitting up and was super limited as to what I could do. One of the most terrifying and unpleasant experiences I have ever encountered. Went to see my primary care physician and they referred me to MedStar for PT. I ended up at the Ballston location with Lindsey Greenwald… and she was incredible! She did a few tests to determine which canal was being affected (mine being the most uncommon, of course). And then explained what that meant in detail and what exercises we were going to do in order to hopefully move my crystals back into place... and then proceeded to get to work! The first appointment seemed to do the trick for the most part. Took about 24 hours for things to fully even out. I did go for 2 more follow up appointments after just to make sure we were all set. And now have a series of exercises on hand to strengthen my vestibular system and techniques to try at home if it should come back and my crystals end up in one of the more common canals. I obviously do not wish for another vertigo attack ever again, but if it should happen, glad I know where to go and what to do. Thank you, Lindsey & the MedStar team!

Roshanak Behbahani has been my amazing therapist. She has a wonderful attitude and is always positive, cheerful and friendly in our interactions. I actually looked forward to going to therapy to see her there. She is very thorough, explains all procedures and exercises well and encourages me week to week to keep up the process. She has tremendously helped improve my condition. I can’t say enough positive things about her. Would 100% recommend her to anyone in need of her services.

Amazing staff of PT’s and PTA’s who genuinely care. Front desk is warm and welcoming every time you step in. Everyone on the team is hard working and takes a true interest in the patients that walk into the doors.
