Dr. Johnston is highly recommended by my husband and myself. My husband had a procedure done by Dr. Johnston. He has the utmost knowledge, skill, personality, compassion, of any doctor we have been associated with. He and his entire staff is to be commended for their extraordinary care and professionalism. Would definitely recommend Dr Chad Johnston.

Giving one star is only to the student who came to the room. Even though I had specifically made an appointment to see him, and had waited 2 months to get there, a student showed up saying based on "our" info, Dr. Johnston decided I was good enough for you!! Was it my accent? Was it my appearance? What was it that made them decide I did not need to see the doctor for 5 minutes? I was very offended and underwhelmed by the whole affair. Be aware.

Would recommend Dr. Chad Johnston to anyone. He listens to you and cares about you, explaining in good detail what will happen and why. Office staff are professional and friendly, and they follow up with you later to be sure you are doing well. I would not go to any other practice in the area for my dermatology needs.

Not pleased with change in office policy regarding insurance and co pay. I was refused service today because I could not/would not agree to pay more than my copay and put a credit card on file. As an established patient with Dr Johnston, I find this unacceptable. This occurred prior to my visit and with no expectation of services today not covered by my copay. Oh, and there'd be a refund 2 months down the road......

Dr. Johnston is one of the most personable, caring doctor's I have ever seen. I was referred to Dr. Johnston a couple of months ago by Dr. Michael Bowman (Blacksburg ENT), also an excellent doctor. I came to Dr. Bowman and then to Dr. Johnston with a most unusual problem involving my ears and face that we have yet to find a permanent solution to. Dr. Johnston performed a biopsy on me a little over a month ago and has truly been one of the most caring doctors I have ever worked with concerning my unusual, yet most debilitating condition. He truly understand how much I have been suffering and this problem has been affecting every aspect of my life. He has actually called me at home three times now to discuss my condition and offer potential solutions. It is extremely rare for a doctor to exhibit this amount of concern and invest this much time in a patient. But he truly understands how miserable I have been. Between Dr. Bowman and Dr. Johnston (who regularly communicate between each other about my condition), I have finally started to see some relief. We are still working on a permanent condition and Dr. Johnston has also been instrumental in referring me to a specialist at Wake-Forest Baptist health for further evaluation. I truly believe that this set of doctors may finally be able to solve my long standing debilitating health problem, which to date, no one else has even come close. I am very very grateful to Dr. Johnston as well as Dr. Bowman. Thank you both so much for working to help me out!
