Dr. Fishman is no longer in Santa Cruz. He's in Palo Alto. (650) 322-4393fishmanvision.com706 Webster St, Palo Alto, CA 94301--near Middlefield and University Ave.Fantastic and friendly. Lots of dry eye analyses and suggestions. NOT JUST "USE ARTIFICIAL TEARS". So many options, including simple cleaning of meibomian glands so your own natural oil tears film is optimized. Definitely worth it to go over the hill to see him for dry eyes.
Wonderful provider. Up to date and very smart. If you have to fight cancer - I would want Dr Favaro on my side.
I have been a patient of Dr. Favaro's for over 5 years. He is very professional and knowledgeable, but at the same time kind and gentle. He is one of the best, if not the best, doctors who has ever treated me. The office's staff are very personable and punctual. I highly recommend Dr. Favaro!
I was referred to Dr. Fishman by my optometrist for cataract surgery. Dr. Fishman was great from beginning to end! He took the time to carefully explain all my options to me. Once I had decided on the surgery, the rest went extremely smoothly. I was given simple written instructions by his staff on what needed to be done to prepare (pre-op activities, check-ups, paperwork, etc.). Over the next 3-4 weeks, Dr. Fishman and his office staff carefully led me through the process to ensure that everything that needed to get done got done smoothly. They did such a good job that questions on my part were minimal. The surgery day came and everything went like clockwork. I was delighted with the results. I can't say enough about Dr. Fishman's as a doctor (knows his stuff) and as a person (very easy to talk to and clearly delighted in what he does and improving the lives of his patients). I would highly recommend Dr. Fishman to anyone looking for a good eye surgeon.
Only a minimal amount of research will quickly reveal the impressive credentials held by Dr Fishman. His extensive experience was especially encouraging to me because other physicians were unable to pinpoint the cause of a pesky and severely compromising vision issue that had been worsening for months. Trusting Dr. Fishman to correctly diagnose and resolve a complex combination of issues with my sight was one of the best decisions I ever made.Far from the "garden variety" eye problem that would ordinarily be easily diagnosed in a 10 minute office visit, Dr Fishman was presented with a difficult set of issues that required a substantial amount of outside time to evaluate. Most surprisingly, he made himself accessible through a series of email exchanges to gain a deeper insight to my unsettling vision dilemma. A remarkable personal touch, in my experience, for a physician to show such willingness in taking extra care to resolve a patients medical problem. My path back to healthy vision ultimately ended with cataract surgery in both eyes. Here again, Dr Fishman shined. Surrounded by a very experienced, competent and slick surgical team, Dr Fishman had me in and out on each occasion in less than two hours with absolutely no post-op discomfort. But most overwhelming was the joy experienced the following day in his office when reading with amazing clarity from the 20/20 line. Finally, I shouldn't close without mentioning that he is also the rare doctor that you can actually share a laugh with, even if its at his expense.A more dedicated, competent and personable physician you will not find......Highly recommended!Michael T.
I have had a very good experience with Dr. Favaro. He is an oncological hematologist who knows his business! I have been seeing him regularly for 1 1/2 years, and I am very satisfied with the care I have received.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
