Stuart Henochowicz's Online Review Report Card

25 years ago on Yom Kipper Dr Henochowicz saved my 11 year old daughter’s life. I think of him often, and especially at this holiday.

My name is Almaz I have been an RN for over 20 years, so I have been around health care in many places for a long time as a nurse and also a patient. I had to temporarily leave Dr. Stewart's service because of the type of Medical insurance I had. Dr. Stewart does not dictate patient's care, he first listens to patient and gives options for the type of care that is not only Physical healing but mental too! this by itself is theraputic. What is the best treatment for that particular pt? So as soon as I got Medicare I came back to his service. Why? Dr Stewart is a Dr that listens to patients and gives choices (accommodates) what is best for the patients? Honestly, he is very experienced listens and also educates his patients and also educates others who will be future MD's . Well need I say more?

Dr. Henochowicz is an amazing doctor. He will spend the time you need to answer questions and know you understand the diagnosis. "Dr. H" follows up with lab work results that need to be addressed. He is caring and thoughtful.

Outstanding! Personable and Overall Nice Guy! I researched internists online and through personal referrals from other MD's in the area as well as the reviews online. Dr. Henochowicz, came highly recommended and is regarded as one of the top doctors in the area as well as being in my insurance network which is great too. After talking with him, and him making me feel at ease since I haven't seen a doctor in several years, I am extremely comfortable talking openly and honestly with him, without being judged. He was funny and not so straight laced that you couldn't crack a joke with. I am so glad that I connected with him and look forward to many years together as patient and doctor!!

The Dr. was not a bad guy but his staff and billing practice is terrible. Made a routine physical appointment for my son and specifically asked if there was any cost. Was told no, it's a yearly physical. Surprised to get a bill for $310. There billing office said it's because he was a new patient. They knew he was a new patient when I made the appointment and asked the question is there a cost? Why didn't they tell me that the physical is covered but that there is a fee for new patients. They said that's how the doctor coded it and I would need to speak to him. Left a message for him and his office manager called back. She told me the same thing that it was because he was a new patient and that the physical was free of charge but he was being charged for the new patient visit. Again explained that I had asked the question would there be any fee for this visit and their appointment staff had said no. I told her I felt that there had been a bait and switch it was an unfair practice. At that she told me this cost was clearly a hardship for my family and that we should no longer be involved in this practice. They would waive the fee but they would no longer see my son. The office manager then hung up on me. The best part she called me back 5 minutes later and said I see your husband is also a patient here so he is no longer welcome in our practice either.

Very caring doc and staff

The review below from 7/11/18 is almost the same experience I had at Dr. H. The receptionist gives the impression that she is not interested is listening to the patient's query and just wants to be off the phone. I also had the same billing issue related to bloodwork, however, Angela was a great help and she handled the issue. If it were just Angela and Dr. H then I would give this a 4 star (5 star to Angela and 4 star to Dr. H). Also, the total Provider Charge for my office visit here (physical, bloodwork) was a whopping $1200+!! I am glad I had insurance or else I would be ripped off!!

Dr H is a great doctor who cares and invited me to email him with questions. 5 starsHowever, you have to get past his rude front office staff and god forbid that you have to call their billing department with a question as she's rude too. The nurses are VERY nice. I cringe when I call their office as their staff treats you like an idiot and very impatient like it's bothering their day. "I'm sorry for bothering you, even though that's YOUR JOB!" (1 Star off)The saddest part is that they CANNOT get their billing right or the way they charge is not a fair practice. You better hope that they don't ask you to get your blood redrawn for whatever reason. They will charge you for a $85 office visit and the cost of the blood exam to get your blood redrawn even though I did not see any of the Dr. or Nurse. I'm OK with additional blood exam charge, but a $85 office charge is despicable! When I called their billing, the lady said it's for an office staff time to look at the report. So a report from Quest that summarizes the entire report with my healthy range will cost me $85 for someone to read. BS! I had my blood drawn 3 times and each time a $85 charge, very unethical! See picture where I boxed 2 of the 3 extra charges! (2stars off)In addition, I go in for a physical, my copay should be $30, but I get billed later by them for a 90ish bill. They nickel and dime you for every treatment/advice they provide. His advice for telling me to eat healthy foods and exercise cost $215, in addition to an office visit that cost $205. The office billed my insurance for approximately $1000!!!! just for a physical. Even though I have insurance, I still had to pay around $100 after my co pay. Either the billing was wrong or it's their way of gouging patients. If you don't have insurance, you'll be over charged as you can see. I reviewed my previous physcial with other INOVA Doctors and the charge amount was fair. I paid the co-pay and paid for the bloodwork. I will NOT go there again. Dr H is great, definitely not a knock on him but his supporting cast ruins the experience.When I called INOVA, their receptionist are nice and will work with you to schedule an appointment. As important, they don't charge additional fees.

I have been seeing Dr. H for asthma on and off for 20 plus years. He's outstanding. He is deeply caring, wise, thoughtful and warm. He is on top of all the newest medicine. He is whip smart. Don't believe the negative stuff. You will not be in better hands.
