The prior reviews are all accurate. Despite getting a quick initial consult I’ve reached out three times to schedule a procedure and have not heard back. I’ll be finding another doctor.

BEWARE For a routine upper GI 45 minutes to 1 hour the number of anesthesia units each unit is 15 minutes for code 00731 should be 3 to 4 and base units may range from 4 to 7 so 8 to 10 units is reasonable. 50 units for that code 25 each for Old Dominion Anethesia “nurse and 25 for Shilpa Bahethi 3045 2=6090 and an additional 20 for the anesthesia for a total over $6400 is more along the lines of open heart surgery which just drives up our insurance costs. It is up to consumers to complain contact your insurance antifraud department the FBI and the VA SCC. If you have the option to go to a better practice do it. The low rating and poor reviews are well earned.

I wish I had read these reviews before conducting business here. My wife came for a colonoscopy consultation. This place was recommended by her doctor. We received a bill for the consultation which our insurance would cover. It turns out that they used the incorrect insurance code and our insurance denied the claim. After multiple phone calls with our insurance company they refused to recode the visit. Even though they would have been paid for the visit. They continually told us they would refer our account to a collection agency even though our insurance company told them EXACTLY what to do to get paid. This lingered for months. Finally in an effort to put this situation to an end I paid the bill in November 2020. Today March 12 2021 I received a letter from a collection agency. WARNING read these reviews before deciding to seek medical care here. We have informed our doctors office of their suspect business practices and hopefully they will stop referring patients here.

Called a dozen times trying to make an appointment for a procedure. No response never replied my messages.

Someone calls you less than 3 days before the procedure that YOU need to check if your insurance covers the anesthesia group. The anesthesia groups vary by procedure location but the office didnt provide the group name until this last minute call. Even the scheduler didnt mention this. Fortunately I was able to cancel without getting charged the cancellation fee $300 if within 7 days of the procedure.So difficult to schedule a procedure I had to play phone tag with the scheduler for a couple weeks. You have to leave voice messages and it takes the scheduler several days to get back to you.You only see the doctor during the procedure. So impersonal and like a factory. Ill be finding another GI

I am a prior customer. After initially being on hold for 30+ minutes the receptionist noted paperwork would be emailed. When I didnt receive within a few days I called back hold of 40 minutes and the receptionist then emailed the paperwork. Upon completion of extensive paperwork I submitted. After one week and another extensive hold I was informed I would receive a scheduling call. A week later I received a long voice mail with questions requesting responses be left on their voicemail which I did although concerned. I have heard nothing since and have left multiple messages with the answering service or office requesting a call back. Im at two months trying to schedule an appointment so moving on to another provider. However I am posting so others can avoid this challenge. Terrible customer service.

My experience during my appointment at Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates was outstanding and much more than I expected. Thedoctor listened intently as I spoke about the major concerns I neededto discuss and after asking her insightful questions she immediatelytold me that she would help me. I could not have been more relieved.I gave her all the information she asked for and she thanked me forcoming and would take care of the matter right away.My doctors understanding and compassion has made me so gratefulas this was our very first meeting and actually look forward tomy next appointment at Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates.
