I thought Dr Dacus was a good doctor, thoughtful and caring, until things did not go well. His staff protects him to the point of creating unnecessary stress for his patient. He does not deliver on his word or his work, and when questions are raised, the patient gets railroaded by gate-keeper staff. I do not recommend this doctor or his staff. When something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Beware! You will wait forever to see him when there is a problem unaddressed or a new problem, and it will get documented as if the waiting time was your fault. His exam of you when things go wrong is a joke, and your medical records will have flat out lies in them.

Dr. Dacus immediately and professionally diagnosed my severed brachii tendon and scheduled surgery within a few days. My recovery and followup visits have gone very well. I attribute that to Dr. Dacus' expertise and true concern for all his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Dacus and the staff at UVa.
