Dr. Shneker takes the time to truly listen and explain everything and answers questions.
I was impressed by his listening and explaining everything so well.
This man is by far the least professional doctor I have ever met. I was rushed through the entire appointment with him dismissing everything I said to him. He literally laughed at me for stressing my concerns to him and after 5 minutes determined there was no need for testing at all. He initially called for an MRI after I pointed out how certain could he be without running ANY tests but after questioning him further he got offended and said he wouldnt do one because I was "fine." He then pointed me to the check out. Absolutely terrible doctor.

I met Dr Schnecker in 2011. I was loosing consciousness and no one was able to tell me what was wrong. After meeting him he told me I may have this syndrome called "POTS". I had forgotten about that and continued on my other doctor appointments. The cardiologist said there was nothing wrong with me and this is in my head. So, we went to the Mayo where they verifide Dr S. He was right !!! Thanks Dr S.
Unbelievable that this doctor is trained as a neurologist. Yet he does not have any concern or consideration for 14 years of a documented neurological disease that has required 22 major surgeries and over 200 spinal taps. I currently have a shunt to drain excessive spinal fluid from my brain and still suffer headaches (due to pressure on brain being too high) - his response? Stop taking pain medication (in this case it is Tylenol). Why not help treat the disease? A neurosurgeon is being seen to continuously adjust the valve for the amount of fluid to drain, but can't seem to get the level where it needs to be - and the neurosurgeon refers to a neurologist to manage the condition. Fortunately, I am able to get in to a specialized neurologist who is educated in this disease in a different state - but it is very unfortunate that a person should have to seek out that help when this physician should be qualified to treat this disease. It's OSU for goodness sake - OSU is a highly respected medical center. Too bad they allow someone with such a poor bedside manner to treat individuals in their most vulnerable time of need. Shame on you.
I started having seizures while I was at Ohio State and was fortunate to have Dr. Shneker as my physician. He is superb. He is very compassionate, truly cares about his patients and their well-being, and is very easy to get a hold of. I cannot say enough good things about him except that he is a wonderful neurologist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
