Brett D Krasner's Online Review Report Card

I really should have written a review sooner, since I saw Dr. Brett Krasner last November, but I felt it was still worth writing. I saw him about a persistent rash (app. a 60 X25 mm, or 2.5" x 1+ ". patch of red, scaly, annoyingly itchy rash that I figured was some type of eczema), on the front of one ankle. Dr. Krasner prescribed some very effective cream to apply once a day, and within a couple weeks it was completely healed. (Aloe lotion and vitamin E oil cleared up the faint redness left behind, as with any temporary scar). I would recommend him to anyone. I had tried everything OTC I could think of--for months--hoping to get rid of that persistent rash, but sometimes you just need a professional.

They are not following their own COVID protocol so please beware!!! I’ve been going to this practice since 2008. I recently made an appointment and was told that when I arrived, I should call to check in and then stay in my car and they’d call when they were ready. They repeated this when confirming my appointment. The day of, I call in and they say to come on in. I was hesitant because their waiting room is tiny. Sure enough, all but one seat was taken—in a room the size of a bedroom, windows closed, all doors closed. I waited for 25 minutes while everyone else came and went and new people arrived, several asking if they shouldn’t wait in their car. I finally went to the window and explained that I would need to cancel because I didn’t feel comfortable sitting with seven other people in such close quarters. The staff member was quite rude even though I had been nice. I simply wanted to cancel because they weren’t following their own COVID protocol. As I was walking away, she yelled at me, “Dr. Bryer had an emergency.” I calmly explained again that this was irrelevant. I could’ve easily been in my car the whole time. I didn’t mind waiting. I just don’t want to die from it! I know times are tough for us all right now, but all I ask is that people follow their own rules instead of doing COVID theater.

Front staff not the friendliest. First time in the office with a client and just seemed flat, short, and bothered. Maybe it was just me and who I was they didnt appear too friendly with but for my client I shouldn't matter. Customer service goes a long way especially after a 40 min drive to the office

I wish I had seen Dr Krasner at this office...as a new patient I was unaware I was seeing the new physician at the practice. Had a small benign mole removed (for COSMETIC reasons) and the area removed was giant- I was not told how big it would be or how large a scar could be left. If the doctor had shown me the area she drew to excise I wouldn’t have done it. I was shocked and so upset when I looked under the bandage. I called back to express concern and was flippantly told “we can just refer you to a plastic surgeon if you don’t like it.” I have had this done several times before (at other offices) and have never had this happen, or I wouldn’t have asked for it to be removed. Very disappointed and the scar is the size of a quarter and is in a very visible place so now I will have to look into scar revision. But certainly not with the dermatologist I saw.

The quickest and most efficient doctor appointment I had ever been to! I had a lesion on my arm that I had been concerned about. After a quick assessment, Dr. Krasner also thought it was worth removing for a biopsy. In only a matter of minutes, I had received a lidocaine shot, the lesion was removed, the wound was dressed, and I was briefed on wound care instructions. The entire appointment was painless and probably only took 10-15 minutes! I'll definitely recommend Dr. Krasner to anyone I know seeking a dermatologist.

Dr Krasner is always knowledgeable and able to help me with anything I need. Especially with suggestions, plan of action.

So I have been a patient of Dr. Brett Krasner for about 12 years or so now. I got psoriasis at a very young age and it covered my body from my scalp to my toes. He was the first Dermatologist that truly had the desire to help me with my condition and he’s truly changed my life. I saw many doctors prior to him when this was a new diagnosis and most did not want to put me on any type of medications at a young age; just kept telling me things over the counter to get which never helped and if you have chronic psoriasis like I do, you’ll understand- I traveled from Lynchburg to Charlottesville to see him and he immediately put me on embrel which is an injection and it changed my life forever! I was able to wear shorts and short sleeve tops without living in fear/embarrassment/uncomfortable. As I got older, I switched to Stelara which is another form of injections and it works great as well. I’ve had 10 years now of free skin with an occasional flare up but he truly is an extraordinary doctor and is just brilliant. He’s very personable, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He has your best interest at heart and really is great at his job. The staff is very sweet and helpful. The nurse, Terri is incredible and beyond helpful. I cannot remember his current scribes name (03/02/20) but she was very sweet and helpful as well! All around a wonderful place and I will be seeing him until he retires for sure! Super quality place and they move along in a fairly timely manner. Totally worth the 1.30 minute commute!

Appointment time no waiting, efficient and friendly staff. Brett took good care of me, in and out quickly. Very pleasant Dr., very professional. Recommend highly.Update: Sept. 2019- back for a follow-up and got good news on my treatment plus did the entire body skin exam. I really like Brett. Thanks

Appointments always start at the scheduled time--no long waits in the waiting room. Dr. Krasner is consistently cheerful and professional, no matter the time of day. Nothing seems to phase him. Very thorough and helpful. His office staff is also top notch.

My husband and I travel over 100 miles from White Sulphur Springs WV to see Dr Krasner. He is the only doctor that we have seen that says “I will figure out what is wrong with you”. He is compassionate and kind. Well worth the trip.
