I have seen Dr. Carter several times now and think he is an excellent doctor. He takes time to explain things, answer questions, and is patient with me. I would recommend him to anyone.

Could not find the site for the son Dr. Christian Carter, but after reading about "Pop", I see where Christian Carter got his bedside manner. Christian Carter is self-entitled to say the least. We should have walked out at the beginning of our 1st visit, when his manner was evident just after introductions. The reason for our visit was never addressed, as he insisted everything was okay and proceed with his usual eye exam. I have been going to eye doctors for 43 years and this was the FIRST DOC to be rude, unhelpful, with a lack of concern for their patient. These are children...our children. My experience was very bad and they care about the $$$ more than the patient! If you have a problem, they want you to pay again.

Dr. Bruce Carter (son, not the father) was wonderful. Not only did he thoroughly explain my grandson's medical condition, he was very polite. My grandson (3 yrs old) really liked him. Dr. Carter put him at ease right away. Surgery was needed and it resolved my grandson's issue, for which we are thankful. My family would definitely recommend Dr. Carter for your child's medical (eye) needs.

Dr. Carter is very set in his ways and not one to go out of his way to help you if your child has any condition outside of the normal ones that he treats. Very poor bedside manner, we will be going to Richmond to see another specialist. I would not recommend him to anyone else.

Dr. Carter is an angry unhelpful man and his staff is perhaps worse. I could not possibly describe the experience that we had there in 1000 characters or less, but I can state unequivocally that you do NOT want to see this man. We now take our child to Richmond just to avoid him.

Absolutely fabulous doctor, works well with children, knows his stuff- he's one of those doctor's that your kids cant wait to see again! he's such a great guy!
