Dr. Browne was wonderful. The wait times are long but that is because he is so good. I felt respected and my opinion was always taken. He saw me several times in the hospital and spent alot of time during my 6 week checkup explaining and listening. I have had NO pain and I know he is there if I need him. Thank you Dr. BROWNE. 😊

Dr. Browne replaced both of my hips about 6 months apart and hands down, if I had another hip he would replace that one too :) !!!!!!!!!!!!! Such an AMAZING PERSON AND DOCTOR (to include his staff).

Outstanding Surgeon. Listened carefully. Empathetic. He and his team pay close attention to details. Example: He made sure my legs are now exacting the same length. Recovery was better and shorter than expected. No surprise, he was booked up for 2 months. However his staff found a cancellation for my hip replacement.

As a polio survivor, my hip replacement was not a run of the mill procedure. Everything from discussing the type of anesthesia appropriate for me to addressing leg length discrepancy issues was done in a logical and methodical manner. I've had the best recovery that friends and others in the healthcare space have ever seen. Highly recommend Dr. Browne and his team.

Dr. James Browne of UVA Orthopedics is top notch! His background is impressive (Johns Hopkins, Duke University, and the Mayo Clinic) and enough to inspire total confidence. He has a very confident, calm, and caring demeanor. He spends as much time as Is needed to address patient and family concerns. Two years ago Dr. Browne replaced my right hip. He did a great job and I recovered quickly and without pain. I am having my other hip replacement performed by Dr. Browne this autumn. I trust Dr. James Browne without reservation. I highly recommend him to patients looking for a skilled, knowledgeable, well-practiced, well-trained, meticulous, calm, patient, decent, and caring orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Browne and staff did my left knee and they were professional from beginning to end and we're responsive to my needs during my rehab, which I had to do in North Carolina. I interviewed three different surgeons at three different hospitals and he was by far the most impressive.

Dr Browne did my right knee replacement June 2016. It turned out great. I would highly recommend him. Wish I had this replacement done sooner. I may need my left knee done in the future and I will absolutely go with Doctor James A. Browne.
