List of Joel Martin Schectman's Reviews
Dr. Schectman is an excellent doctor. He along with a resident manages my care. Dr. Matthew Schliep and him take really good care of me. He is always friendly. I really trust the decisions he makes regarding my care. He treats you very well even when you aren’t cooperating with him. I had a problem with seeing delusions. He still tried very hard to take care of me despite the hard time I gave him. He really tried to help me during that time. He did things (like calling my psychiatrist) that I didn’t like at the time. He could have just told me what I wanted to hear., but he did what was best for me. You can depend on him to give you the right king of medical care. Dr. Shectman has been providing me excellent care for the past 20 years. I would have no desire to switch to another doctor.
He doesn't like if you disagree with his diagnosis, It doesn't mean he will look it up and push himself further to check it out. It is just that he is right and that is bottom line. The education he got back then is what he stands by now. If he didn't learn it or is not familiar with it. Then you don't have it. He is a nice man and he means well. But your health takes a back seat when this happens and you are the person who suffers in the long term. He doesn't take your pain and doesn't look for another diagnosis. He just says it is something that everyone else has and they don't have problems. He means well. But meaning get you better. I am still going to stick with him because for everyday common cold and something that a piece of blood work can tell anyone, I would go to him for that. I would take my serious matters elsewhere.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
