List of John F Dombrowski's Reviews
Truly, I've never had such a condescending, inappropriate medical experience before in my life. First point, no one in the office, including Dr. Dombrowski, wears masks and I was even told that I could take my mask off in the office because it wasn't required. My first interaction with the doctor, he comes into the room, introduces himself, leans back and props his feet up on the exam table where I'm sitting. He took a very mediocre medical history, proceeded to misgender me and call me ma'am multiple times (he has a place in the EMR where I listed my pronouns and note that I'm nonbinary), and seemed to be irritated every time I mentioned that I had already tried a given modality and that it didn't work well (like taking gabapentin or going to physical therapy). I felt talked down to and belittled throughout the appointment, and when he did finally prescribe the medication I requested, he did not consult me about the dose or explain anything about how to take it. He appears to me a very inconsiderate and sloppy provider and I would definitely not trust him for ongoing care.
Dr. Dombrowski is the best doctor I ever met. He is always listening, suggesting multiple alternative so!utions in my complicated case, and never gets impatient. He is also a perfect gentleman, his manners are giving reassurance and hope. His staff is excellent, professional, kind and always efficient and helpful. This is a doctor's office that gives excellent care!
I went to an appointment with my elderly father. While waiting for Dr. D to appear we could hear EVERYTHING that he was saying to the patients in the adjoining rooms. Despite signs at the front of the office saying that all personnel who had contact with patients would be wearing masks, he waltzed into the TINY exam room unmasked. When I remarked that everyone else in the office was wearing masks he begrudgingly left the room and returned with his mask only partially tied. This man exhibited TERRIBLE bedside manner, spoke too fast, and made it virtually impossible to get a question in edgewise. The good news is the nurse and pharmacologist were very patient and communicated clearly.....we wont be returning If I could give a no star rating I would.
I needed a pain specialist as I wanted alternatives to opioids after orthopedic surgery. I filled out an extensive, multi-page questionnaire on-line @ a week before the appointment, but it was clear he had not read it when I saw him. Despite all the signs in the office (at the height of pandemic) he came in the exam room without a mask. He spent at most 5-7 minutes and prescribed 3 drugs--2 of the drugs my primary care doctor (PCD) said I shouldn't use, as 1 was the same type of drug as one I had listed as currently taking, and you take one or the other, not both, and one would cause a health problem if I used it, as my questionnaire had listed a condition that made the drug he prescribed contra-indicated. thank goodness I checked with my PCD before I took them. I noticed he billed my insurance for a new patient comprehensive visit. If mine was comprehensive, I'd hate to see how much time he spends on 'regular' appointments. I never went back...
This doctor is negligent. For some reason, he does not think CDC guidelines and the mandatory mask mandate apply to him. Having COVID antibodies is completely irrelevant. He sees patient without wearing a mask, without taking their temperatures and without allowing social distancing. When I kindly asked him to wear a mask, he sighed and rolled his eyes at me. He then came back wearing a mask that was only partially tied and not secured properly. His office is absolutely minuscule and he cares significantly more about making money than he does his patients’ care. He is running an injection clinic, not a pain management facility. Every other word out of his mouth has to do with money. Don’t bother bringing any previous records, as he won’t take the time to read them, he’s too busy shuffling patients in and out all day long. I have reported him to the DC HRLA given his complete disregard for covid safety protocols. He made a joke about paying for positive reviews, which unfortunately seems to be true. Avoid him at all costs, he’s arrogant and self-serving.
He Listens to you and your Problems, He Truly Cares about your situation, what you are struggling with, Understands the level of your Pain, gives you Several Options and is Very Concerned about what you need to Go Forward with to Help Make Your Life Easier and Much Better.
Please be aware that this doctor discriminate against immigrants. Although I live in the US most of my life and a US citizen, Dr. Dombrowski told me that I have “visa problems” and that he doesn’t understand me. He did not address my concerns and was unwilling to do so. Basically, I wasted my money for appointment and was discriminated against instead of medical care.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
