I recently had surgery performed by Dr. Stranix and found that he and his team are the best!! From my experience he and his team not only took care of my medical needs, but my mental state following surgery too. They were very supportive in every way to my whole body recovery and mental stabilization following the surgery. In addition to regular plastic surgery procedures Dr. Stranix is building a great team to perform transgender procedures both MtF and FtM as a full suite of transition services.

Dr. Stranix has been great. He has cared about me as a person and not just a patient. He has worked hard for me and is continuing to do so. I feel blessed I was able to find him. I look forward to continuing my journey with his help.

I was recommended Dr. Stranix by a friend and am very happy I chose him as my surgeon. I had top surgery with him a few weeks ago and couldn't have imagined better results for myself. I'm very anxious around doctors- but he was very patient with me and did not rush me through any of our appointments and answered all of my questions. I have no negative experiences with him or the nurses he works with. Destiny has also been very polite and helpful whenever I reached out to her, she's been wonderful.

I met JT Stranix almost 2 years ago. I am tough on medical providers as a Transman. When this man walked in the door I knew that first he would definitely be the surgeon to perform my top surgery. But I also knew he would remain in my life long after the battle scars of becoming my authentic self have healed. He performed another surgery two weeks ago. I work with a lot of Transman both locally and nationally. Trust is a major issue for all of us. This man JT Stranix I trust with my life and my transition. I tell others who trust me. This is the man to trust to change your life.

On my first visit with Dr. Stranix, I don’t even think I asked him many questions about his background because I knew immediately that he was the one for me. He told me about himself and completely put me at ease. He listened to me so that he would know what I was expecting from my reconstruction. By the end of the appointment I had complete 100% trust in him. He performed a bi-lateral DIEP flap breast reconstruction with absolutely phenomenal results. I really couldn’t be happier. Can’t leave out his awesome staff. Everyone has been so unbelievably nice. I wouldn’t have been able to navigate everything without Lindsey! He really is the best at what he does. I’m at the end of my journey and feel like I’m back and better than ever. My happy is back! LIFE. CHANGING. I will be forever indebted to him. I am honestly sad that I won’t be able to see him anymore. I feel like I’ve made a friend. He will never lose points with me (if he reads this he will get it 😉) Hopefully maybe one day I will run into him again. Big, big love for Dr. Stranix and his staff.

Hands down the best!!

I went with my niece to her appt for her surgery and was very impressed with Dr Stranix. He was focused on what was being said, answered each question. Made sure we knew everything that was being done. He has made sure to follow up to make sure there is no other questions and his office has kept us up to date with all steps in the insurance process.

The dedication and care of Dr. John T. Stranix is above any physician I have ever encountered. I had surgery in July 2021 in which I had a significant problem in the vagina region .He explained all he could to repair the problem in a minor I understood .I was on bed rest for five days in which he checked on me daily and also his fellow team did .Every attention to detail for a smooth fast recovery was taken and to make me as comfortable as possible. I was at the University of Va. in 1974 and it was absolutely a beautiful experience to know that forty seven years later I was in the best hands with Dr. Stranix . The University is so very fortunate to have such a skilled personable leader and surgeon and I will always be grateful to DR Stanix and his team ! I plan to go back again next summer for something a little bit more fun a face lift . Who could I trust more with my face and body than Dr. Stanix ? What merit , superiority ,skill and talent are just some of the few adjectives to describe DR Stanix of The University Of Virginia Hospital .
