Just a super nice guy, incredible doctor, who goes out of his way for his patients. My daughter is an MD and after talking with her about him she's a fan. Yes, the UVa health care system can be a bit cumbersome and there sometimes is a long wait time, but the man himself is the best.

Dr Ballew is like an old fashioned family doctor tucked away in the guarded behemoth that is UVA’s Fontaine Park facility. I love Dr Ballew. He has a very calm and caring examining room manner, and a large inventory of solutions in his proverbial leather satchel to pull advice and solutions from.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Ballew for over 15 years! He is most informative and caring Dr. at UVA! He is professional and personable and wants his patients to clearly understand his diagnosis and treatment plan. When we have any sort of concern, big or small he responds the same day and his staff will do everything possible to get you in for a same day appointment. His advice and care is above and beyond most Doctoes as he truly listens and is thorough 100 per cent of the time! I highly recommend Dr. Ballew and appreciate his caring words!

I’m 41 year old male with many issues. I’ve seen several doctors throughout my life but he makes me more comfortable to talk then any before. You can tell he really cares about his patients and does an excellent job with treatment. Definitely five star doctor.

I did choose Dr. Ballew because he said he speak Spanish and Italian, at the time I didn't speak English. Unfortunately that is NOT true! I was terrible disappointed. However, he is a good Physician.
