List of Patricia J Shipley's Reviews
My wife saw her for complications from a car accident causing memory and confusion issues she never had before. She was very dismissive of her and more interested in if she had a pcp or not. Halfway through the appointment she needed to stop and ask what happened since she wasn’t listening or checking her chart prior to the appointment. She basically just wrote her off and couldn’t be bothered telling her to come back in three months and offered no other help. It is very upsetting since my wife has been struggling for months.
Dr. Shipley saved my life after ongoing disappointment. She is an excellent clinician--just brilliant.
I saw Dr. Shipley and she could not figure out what was wrong with me. She did not have a solution even though I was in pain. I would not waste time going to see her.
I've seen many neurologists and Dr. Shipley is by far the best- even compared to renowned docs at Hopkins. I have a complicated case and instead of just prescribing pills which most docs have done, she is trying different things to determine what can really be done to manage and hopefully eliminate the issues. When I needed surgery she also spoke to neurosurgeons to make sure I went to the best doctor for my situation. I highly recommend her. (note- getting a first app't can take a little while but subsequent appointments are very easy to schedule.)
Dr shipley seems to care about her Patsy but the lag of time spent waiting is terrible. I have never waited less than an hour, and usually longer. She does my assessment very quickly. I personally am in and out in ten minutes....so why is she always running so behind?
i have been to many different Neurologists in many different cities and I have yet to come across somewhat as caring, capable and compassionate as Dr. Shipley. Yes, there is a wait to see her but only because she spends time with patients. The pay off for waiting is that you do not feel rushed when it's your turn. She will answer your questions no matter how trivial you think are.
I am so happy to have found a neurologist that listens to me and is prepared to write whatever is needed for medical, handicap needs and my needs. You may need to wait a little to see her but only because she takes the time to dictaphone her appointment with you, so at your next appointment she knows what was discussed. Great office staff...always very helpful. I have had another neurologist and comparably...Dr. Shipley is "top shelf".
Personable, knowledgeable, caring, listens, returns phone calls and or make calls to patients, which means everything when there is a problem. I've been very please with her expertise, after having to have a Neurologist since 1994. Being new in this area I felt very blessed to have her as my doctor.
Was pleasantly surprised by her caring nature. it was a good feeling leaving her office, knowing that something could be done for my condition. And after a little trail of changing some work habits,im starting to see some changes with my condition.I would highly recomend Dr. Shipley! (And i might add, a very pretty women.)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
