List of Paul L Katzenstein's Reviews
Dr Katzenstein is a caring doctor. I feel he does an amazing job with the limited staff they have. R.A is a limit treatment disease,he has talk to me about every aspect of my health and how they work together or against each other. I know he want rush though our appointment and do not offer pain medication as an answer.
Dr. katzenstein is the most thoughtful and caring doctor I’ve had in 50 years.
A horrible do nothing doctor. All he does I take medication away and destroy the patient quality of life in only one visit without knowing anything about the patient....
Dr. Katzenstein is very thorough and knowledgeable. I've been seeing him for a bit over 2 years and my daughter is also a patient.
1star for nothing!!My child went for help with serious issues with breathing and one thing after another attacking her body !! and and having seen multiple drs saying autoimmune disease but nothing conclusive!1st visit felt very uncaring, like was taking up his time! After a lot of blood work and he made a telephone appt for 3 weeks later!!! And she is suffering!!and waited almost a year to see this so called best dr. He then cancelled app. Then made 3 more telephone appointments cancelling each one!!!! Not even calling to cancel , if had not checked panting info wouldn’t have known! And with NO reason why!!! Now each appointment time approaching so she is worked up and anxious thinking this dr may be the one to help her after all theses years!! And she is suffering and sick all this time! To be treated as if she were not important enough for his time and to keep being put off, how cruel can a dr be! How dare you treat a human being that way !! You made her feel hopeless in drs!!!
I saw Dr. Katzenstein in Kansas City from 2009 until he left in 2016. Dr. K was the BEST doctor I've had the privilege to be associated with. While yes he does keep his attention to the computer while you're talking, he's listening to every word you're saying. He thoroughly checks each joint that your RA is attacking. Dr. K and I developed a very good bond in our years together and five years later, I still haven't found a Rheumatologist who's as compassionate, thorough and understanding as Dr. K and I wish he never would have left KC. For those in Charlottesville that are looking for a exceptional Rheumatologist there aren't enough stars available to select for me to say yes or add to my comments. I miss you Dr. K!!!!
Dr. Katzenstein is the best doctor I’ve ever had. He gives excellent treatment and wise advice. He’s very thorough and good natured.
After my second visit with Dr. Katzenstein, my impression of him was confirmed. He is a very nice person, medically well informed, and very clear in his explanations of my condition and the medication I would be taking. :He is able to talk to me without getting lost in "medical terminology" that goes way over my head. I would recommend him very highly.
Hands down the best rheumatologist EVER! Listens to your concerns and takes them seriously. Very good bedside manor. Love him. ??
There is no doctor that can be compared to Dr. Katzenstein and his knowledge. Doc treats his patients with compassion, he pays attention to what you tell him, he never ignores your concerns, and always answers your questions. If he doesn’t know he will find the answer. I remember once he called me on a Sunday to discuss a new treatment that he was researching and wanted to know how I felt about it. The man was a God send. It was devastating and discerning to hear of him leaving and going back home. Trust me, if it wasn’t so far, I would travel to see him. It’s so hard to find a replacement, I’m very disappointed. Miss him greatly!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
