Over the summer, the UVA Riverside location came to the rescue when my regular PCP was not available for an emergency appointment. I was so impressed with the level of care, follow-up and ease of access to my chart that I made a permanent switch. I have confidence in knowing that, in the event of an emergency, all medical records will already be accessible through the main UVA hospital. Additionally, from this location, any labs or imaging can be done within the same building. I have been very impressed with Rebekah Compton's (NP) knowledge, quick response time, patience and bedside manner. I feel very well cared for here and would recommend both she and the practice to anyone. Additionally, scheduling has been easy as well.

It’s an amazing hospital, don’t get me wrong. But my husband and I brought our 2 year old 1 hour (one way) to see the neurologist with our letter stating both parents could attend the appointment. My husband took off work for this appointment just for us to be told when we got here that only one parent could attend the appointment. I got the letter Tuesday, and they stated they updated the COVID restrictions to one parent on Monday. A phone call with this update before the appointment would’ve been amazing.

I do not recommend this place or any UVA affiliated physician to future patients. I advise avoiding UVA. The physician I had bent over backwards to get out of prescribing me certain medications despite having all the proper documentation and paperwork to warrant them. My physician also went as far as to call my diagnosis into question, despite not being a specialist in that area. I advice future patients to avoid this place.

Great doctors, nurses, medical assistants, & front office staff. Personable and professional staff. UVA has been voted the #1 hospital in the state for 4 years in a row!
