List of Sentara Martha Jefferson Bariatric Care Center's Reviews
The nurses and staff were so kind and incredible! They were very patient with me and made me feel very comfortable before my endoscopy. Great service overall!
Criminal. I know lawyers who charge $650/hour. The doctors of MEP Health LLC who work in the emergency room at Sentara Martha Jefferson charged my insurance company $690 for a 10-minute visit. Just criminal and I'll do everything in my power to make sure none of my colleagues visit a doctor with MEP Health or Sentara Martha Jefferson.
Being chased off the property when I was charging my phone and waiting for my husband to get out and then when he was tdo they chased me off the property and I was in the cold screaming for help to get home because I don't drive. Thankfully a nice man helped me to get home
My wife recently became ill and was first received in the emergency room and then transferred to a hospital room. Her care was excellent! Everyone I encountered on staff, be it on the telephone or in my wife's hospital room, were courteous and always ready to help in any way. In fact, I felt like we were the most important patients in the hospital. I would also receive calls from the hospital updating information about my wife. Dr. Knight was especially helpful and informative and always ready to listen and answer questions. My wife also enjoyed the food served in the hospital. All in all, a very positive experience and a big thank you to all the staff who took wonderful care of my wife.
I had a four hour procedure this morning and staff were amazing. Afterwards I was exhausted and decided to get a hot tea. The lady behind the counter was grouchy but I let it roll off me. However when I was sitting and sipping my tea the lady in the booth came over and told me to put my mask on between sips. Ok - I let that roll off. However there were two young ladies on the chairs across the from the front booth who were laughing and talking and neither has on a mask. I asked the same lady why they could sit and drink and talk without their mask and I couldn't. She said they were nurses and didn't have to wear masks. Sooo help me figure this out: I am a threat for covid and somehow they are not? What am I missing? I also find it hard to believe that nurses are exempt from wearing masks.
Most of the staff are great but there are a few that, in my opinion, are idiots. I never want to go there again.
Very shity been waiting two days fir covid-19 test results now can't even log in to get them my self hospital won't give them to me very shity set up Smdh
My wife experienced chest, neck and shoulder pain as well as breathing difficulties. Our GP sent her to the ER where they found all her symptoms normal except elevated markers for clotting. A CT scan revealed no clots but fluid buildup around her lungs. She was admitted, had the fluid drained and for two and a half days a team of cardiologist, pulmonologist , pharmacologist and hospitalist worked hand in glove while regularly updating us. They were professional and very caring. The nurses were so good you wanted to take them home. Even the food and the young man delivering it were good. While the cause of her problem is still a mystery, she is home and feeling normal again. Follow ups are scheduled. We are so grateful to MJH for the care we received. They made a scary experience almost pleasurable.
I went to Sentara's emergency room last night and honestly had a really good experience with them. I already have to go into the hospital fairly frequently due to underlying health conditions and was upset I would have to go since the ER is always tedious. I was very pleasantly surprised that last night was not the case. I was in and out in about two hours, and the doctors worked with me in order to come up with a solution. Some medicines I turned down using my judgement knowing my own health and instead of being snarky they were very accommodating and willing to work with me. I've been to the UVA ER countless times and I have never had a positive experience with them - this is the second time this year I've visited sentaras ER and I would never ever go to UVA's again. Some of the staff is a liiiitttle rude but the ones that are less friendly seem to be administrative staff not the actual medical care team. The nurses and doctors were so friendly and I will definitely continue to come here if I'm in an emergency.
My grandpa is in the ICU and last night me, my husband, and aunt went to see him and they let us wait in the waiting room, today we went back and the lady upfront was very rude, she said there was no way we could all go up there, so i told her to call up there and see because i knew we could. she was on the phone and they told her we could come back, she came over and said we could go but she will be up there to watch, i understand there is a virus, but we all have masks, we been thru the screening and everything. it's just so upsetting and aggravating to have to deal with the rudeness especially with my grandpa fighting for his life. But his doctor and nurses are great.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
