Two new knees later, to God be the glory! and to a great surgeon Dr. Tom Brown and his team, I am walking better, dancing, traveling, and working in the profession that I love again. Try him and his team out-you will have a better quality of life.

Visit in February, bone on bone in hip. Could not be scheduled until OCTOBER for a total hip replacement. Attitude appeared to be non caring. Researched other doctors as far as going to Richmond and thankfully found an outstanding Orthopedist at Ortho Virginia, Anthony Shiai. I'm 3 weeks from surgery and totally pain free and can now walk. If you want to wait, that would be the only reason for going with Dr. Brown.

Dr Brown performed a revision on my knee that was originally replaced by Dr Jeffery Levy at Riverside Doctor’s Hospital in Williamsburg. The original replacement was misaligned by Dr Levy. Dr. Brown did an excellent job with my revision. My recovery from the second surgery has been much better, less pain and was able to get back to normal use much quicker. Thank you Dr. Brown!!

Dr Tom Brown DID a right hip replacement on me on Feb 10, 2014. I THANK him from the bottom of my heart! ALL my hip pain was gone WHEN I GOT up to walk on it a few hours after surgery! I CAN NOT say THANK YOU enough! NOW my left hip is in bad shape and I'll NOT hesitate to make an appointment with him SOON! ❤

Dr. Brown did my anterior hip replacement. He and his staff were extremely supportive, returning my calls with detailed answers. My other hip is also deteriorating, and I hope to have him replace that hip when needed.

Wonderful 1st visit with Doc Brown to discuss hip deterioration/replacement. Matt, the resident doc, entered the room after the darling nurses; most helpful in pre-surgeon check-in. I had written out my questions, he answered them thoroughly, in a supportive, knowledgeable manner. I didn't feel rushed! Doc Brown was understanding, kind, caring - a genuinely good guy! No waiting for app't! Everyone was kind, nurses were excellent. One exception: young woman at front check-in desk, quite rude!

The worst experience I’ve ever had! This man was arrogant, condescending, and incompetent. He walked out of the room without suggesting any solutions for my chronic severe knee pain and without saying goodbye. When I asked where he was, the nurse had him return and his only comment was that about 80% of patients who’d had knee replacement just had to live with chronic knee pain!, disgusting

Listens when you are discussing symptoms and your thoughts. Hard to discuss symptoms outside scheduled appointments. Staff is not always responsive to questions through MyChart or leaving a message. Would highly recommend for someone having hip joint replacement. He and his staff provided all the information needed.

Dr. Brown is the best surgeon that I have even seen. I went to him for a very complicated knee problem. I had a number of previous surgeries on my knee. For fours years since he replaced my knee I have been relatively trouble free. I would unconditionally recommend him to anyone.
