I was blessed to have Dr Downs as my bladder cancer Dr. he is a highly intelligent, warm soft spoken human. I believe he saved my life from my disease without me being afraid, not one time ever. Every apt he was patient, knowledgeable & friendly. GR8 eye contact. My Father, Husband,& others in family say he always amazing w them & their questions. I highly recommend him. A very true connection I felt from him. My Dad said the same & reminds me of my wonderful Dr T. Downs on our gatherings. I fought bladder cancer for 5 yrs & was told by my 1st dr for it I am by far his youngest female patient with this cancer. He referred me to Dr Tracy Downs when he left Wis. for work in Kansas. Dr Downs saved my life in making me a bran new bladder from my small intestine before the cancer went threw out my body. Thus making me Victorious. I believe he is the best by far its his personality, knowledge, & human manor all combined that makes him highly the best.

Biggest mistake I have ever made, when I woke up in my room and found a pouch instead of a neoblader and no doctor to explain and never has he explained. He is no longer my doctor but I will never forget the lying doctor

Charged me $700 for 5 minute consultation that he was 30 minutes late for. No proceedure was done even though he claimed it was. Won't show any documentation.

9/8/2016 30 min late for appointment, put off proceedure, more interested in student docs than any problems I had. Charged $700 for a proceedure that never happened. Won't even acknowledge request for proof. Hopeless buracracy. Never again. Neil Roiland

Dr. Downs has been very compassionate also very understanding and thanks to him and by the grace of God I have been 5 years cancer free I feel like DR. Downs is only my Urologist I feel like he is someone who cares about the outcome and quality of my life and not just about the paycheck like some others are

The five-star rating system you have here isn't really adequate to describe Dr. Downs and the care he gives. He took care of my husband, who was willing to drive 10 hours to get his exams, etc. with Dr. Downs. During his exams -- cystos for bladder cancer and transuretheral surgery to remove some polyps -- Dr. Downs was not only extremely professional and careful, but he was compassionate and a good "explainer," as well.The staff at UCSD who worked with him all respected and liked him immensely.Truly, nobody could go wrong in seeing this man.
