List of Alireza Farpour's Reviews
The very best of the best.
Dr Far pour is very popular in the surgery unit and his demeanor is superior. He's extremely nice and thoughtful. But extremely professional explaining everything about my PD Catheter Surgery! I highly recommend him for surgery! 5 stars!!!
Be careful getting a consult if you're a woman. My GP felt a hernia that I have. She mentioned it was pretty big and I would probably have to have mesh. She referred me to Dr. Farpour who said he couldn't feel it? He recommended I get a CT scan. I didn't hear back. I called to get my CT results because I had not been given a follow up appointment and wasn't sure what the next step was. The nurse gave me a time saying that the doctor would call. He didn't. I called to follow up and the nurse insisted that the doctor called. I have no record of it in my phone. No messages were left. I was by my phone the whole day intentionally to hear the results. I mentioned that to the nurse. She was adamant that he called. She said: "I was there he called you." I'm sorry...my phone has no record. I had no problem scheduling an appointment so that he didn't have to see me in between patients Dr. Farpour finally did call today stating that I don't have a hernia. Medical gaslighting is a thing. Find a different doctor if you're a woman.
Dr. Farpour did an outstanding job in his responsible for preoperative review, in performing the operation with the outstanding staff at Chesapeake Regional Hospital, and for postoperative surgical review. Before the operation Dr. Farpour had taken the time to review the procedure again with me and after the operation he talked with my wife on the out of the operational and what to expect over the next few days. I found him to be both professional and conscientiousness during our discussions.
This is your typical rip off doctor. I went to him to get a severe groin hernia repaired and he completed the surgery and everything was going well then after about a year I developed some intense pain in the area where he performed the surgery I called him and made an appointment which his office scheduled for one week later needless to say I had to deal with the pain for 7 days more. When I arrived at his office he came in and looked at the area and he said he couldn't feel anything but he said that doesn't mean I don't have a small hernia coming through so he said he would schedule me to get a ct scan so he could see if that was the problem. 10 days later I had to call his office to find out when they would schedule the scan then I was informed that the insurance Doctor denied the scan procedure. I then spoke to Dr farpor and he asked me if I could pay for the scan. Which is crazy because I have insurance. So since me being in pain doesn't seem to mater to this doctor or most. I will just have to deal with the discomfort. And to beat all of it the doctor saw me for all of about15mins and did nothing to to care for my problem and the rich sorry doctor still charged me 180 dollars. As if a doctor doesn't have enough money that he would still charge his patient a bill for work he didn't do. You can go to this doctor if you want but expect to get charged for just being in his rich greedy selfish presence. I won't never go back to this doctor again. In my eyes this is not a good person. This is a greedy person. Fyi: I'm not mad just tired of uncaring doctors who are only in it for a buck, why even take an oath?
He did a great job he’s the best
Did surgery on my brother in January 2020. Suddenly my brother has extreme pain at surgical sight. Every other doctor my brother has seen for last 9 months has said it seems to be a surgical problem i.e. cut nerve or muscles. Referred back to Farpour for follow-up. He said it was neurology issue and gave a list of doctors. Now when a referral is required, not by insurance but by neurologist. He backs out and refuses to issue it. The PCP has left practice due to covid. This has left my brother in limbo. Farpour also suggested that this may be cancer related, so time is of essence. His nurse became very irate and hung up phone on us even as we explained we did not believe fhe was cause of problem as hedid surgery on 5 relatives with no problem. Now we wonder if we should think it after this extreme reaction to a simple request. Have to call medical legal guardian just to deal with this result. Hopefully he can get a doctor to refer to neurology without all the drama.
He took great care of my mom!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
