Dr. Goins is a great primary care physician. He is knowledgeable and compassionate and takes his time with you during appointments.

I was a new patient. I am very pleased with Dr. Goins and his staff. He ensured that he covered all my consurns as well as taking the time necessary to answer all my questions. I am excited to have Dr. Goins as my PCM finally someone who cares.

Dr. Goins was friendly, kind, compassionate, thoughtful and professional. He explained everything thoroughly and genuinely seemed to care about my health and wellness. I am grateful for his care and all of the staff that works with him.

Dr Goins' Battlefield Blvd staff is one of the most incompetent, disorganized group I have ever dealt with. They don't return calls, don't have the forms processed in anywhere close to an acceptable timely manner, and have incorrect contact information on the forms that they do have. He is a caring and patient doctor, but his staff is costing him business.

Dr. Goins was recommended by Chesapeake Regional Hospital Emergency Room Services as a fine Primary Care Physician. Dr. Goins was totally focused on obtaining a complete medical history, and referenced and read a long litany of medical records. His examination was thorough, and referrals for further care carefully considered. I know many reviews are linked to a physician’s willingness or unwillingness to prescribe prescription painkillers or other psychoactive substances, however, it seems as if Dr Goins has a track record of just being a jerk when it comes to medication. I called to schedule my annual check up and wouldn’t be able to be seen until 20 days after my blood pressure medication ran out, I made the appointment and asked the nurse if it would be possible for him to call in a 20 day supply to get me through till I saw him and she said that he would not prescribe medication until he saw me. I understand opioids and other drugs but blood pressure medication, Really? Medication which he wrote a year long prescription for and should not be abruptly stopped he won’t write a 20 day script. Really not sure if it’s him or his staff but I won’t be going back. He’s definitely lacking in the bed side manner department, as most physicians are these days. They let there assistants speak for them.

Does not help with direct issues. Will not treat you with correct medicine and also uses google to randomly pick medicine to put you on. He will not prescribe you medicine that helps you if you’re a prior drug abuser and is not fair no matter how long ago it was. I will not be going back, he doesn’t trust his clients nor believes them in any situation.
