Da Zhang's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Zhang was my physician for about a decade, in my experiences with him he struck a balance between being professional and friendly. His desire to provide excellent medical care and advice never wavered. He consistently guided me to a better lifestyle and moderate changes that helped reduce my blood pressure and cholesterol issues. I would recommend him to anyone that is willing to listen, learn and accept blunt constructive criticism coupled with sound medical expertise.

As a new patient he took time to get to know my health history. He was professional and courteous. The waiting time was not long.

I love dr Zhang. After I had my daughter I kept going to the er because I was having chest pains. They told me time after time that I only had anxiety. I went to doctor Zhang and he sent me to an cardiologist. I found out that my heart was not pumping blood correctly. Also, doctor Zhang was so understanding and patient with me when I had postpartum depression. He showed true compassion and kept apologizing (he didn’t do anything wrong, but he was so sweet. I kept crying for no reason). I’m 25 now and that was 4 years ago, because of dr Zhang listening, being vigilant, and understanding what I was feeling was not made up... I am still alive today!

Very sarcastic and arrogant! Saw him on a regular basis for quite sometime until Covid numbers started going up. He wrote the incorrect prescription amounts several times in a row. I did not find out until I went to the pharmacy in Suffolk VA. I then had to go back to the office in Chesapeake to get the prescription rewrote. He seemed to have a bias towards the medicine that I had been taking since I was 7 years old. The final straw was him pulling me of my medicine suddenly because I had elevated blood pressure during one visit. My blood pressure was elevated because I started becoming anxious about my appointments with him. I tried to explain that prednisone ( which I was taking ) can cause elevated blood pressure. So he pulled my medicine and made me come back for a BP check, then he still did not want to budge about starting me back on my medicine. Finally he asked me if I suffered from anxiety and suggested that perhaps I could find a physician in Suffolk, someone closer to my home. He is rude, obnoxious, over confident and says things that he has no business saying. He is simply a know it all and his communication is very poor. He asked the same questions every time you go in, family history over and over again, even when its already documented. I would never recommend anyone be under his care.

I’ve been seeing Dr Zhang for 3 years. He listens to my concerns, analyzes them with me, and offers treatment options. It has not been difficult to reach him or get an appointment thus far.

I’ve seen Dr Zhang for a few years. He addresses my concerns and works with me when I have issues. The waiting times are normally pretty high (standard 45-60 min) and most of it is waiting in an exam room in the back.

Never had a problem getting an appointment to see Dr. Zhang. Always listens to questions and gives understandable answers. His staff has always been courteous and caring. I give Dr. Zhang FIVE STARS!

Today was my second time seeing Dr. Zhang and I feel as though he was very unprofessional and cold towards me. I was scheduled to see him for a pre-op and it was as if he didn't even know why I was there. He kept asking me the same questions over and over again that had nothing to do with why I was there. I am a Type 1 diabetic and he started to badger me for not being on the insulin pump when I told him that I couldn't afford it and that I was more comfortable with doing the injections myself. From then on his attitude towards me was so rude. He could tell because he asked me how I was feeling and I told him that I was having really bad anxiety at that moment and he started to tell me how I needed to get that under control, which didn't help. Then the final straw, he asked me if I had gotten and flu shot and I told him no. He asked me if I wanted one and I said no. He then turned away from his computer looked at me and asked why and I told him because I have never gotten the flu shot and I've never gotten the flu, so therefore, I don't want to vaccine. Especially when everyone I know who has gotten the shot, has gotten sick. I have enough problems than to risk getting sick to prevent from getting sick. Once I told him this, he got up from his computer and walked out. Leaving all of my information and computer open for anyone to see. Very unprofessional and extremely rude. I will not be going back.

He's very arrogance, cold and awful. i bring my 8 years old son went to him 2 times , first time met him , and he told me in this area has other doctor speak chinese , you can go over there too , i already came to him i don't know why he tell me that ? second time i met him for my son , i wait over 45 mins and i just asked how long i still need wait , and he just come tell me if you don't have time wait you may re-schedule other time . for first time i already very unhappy , but i thought we all chinese , it's no easy in the unite state ,so we need support each other , so i still go to him ,after second time i knew i done , and thanks for him too , because him ,now i find other wonderful and beautiful doctor , her name is JULIE A HOLZ , NOW my 2 boys all go to her.
