So the Nurses, CNA's and staff are beyond friendly. They did everything in their power to put me at ease. I think Dr. Shoba Mendu is a poor fit for me. I've got a lot of anxiety and deal with a panic disorder. I did try to tell her this in our initial consult but she brushed it off. The previous reviews say that her directness is refreshing, I found it harsh and extremely anxiety producing. She kept saying I needed to get a CT scan and or x-ray and I started to cry b/c of my financial situation.....i can't afford those co-pays, when I told her that she responded very sarcastic with, "well I don't have x-ray vision". Maybe our personalities are just really bad together. It was a Friday afternoon consult so she might have just been ready for the weekend? I didn't feel like I had a choice if I wanted to get seen this year so I stuck it out, against my better judgement. After the procedure a few weeks later my opinion of her bed side manner has not improved. I don't remember this but my husband said she just kept talking at me while I was coming out of anesthesia. That was the last time anyone of us saw her. There was no conversation with her at all.She didn't even try to explain things. Just left. I am grateful it's over. I did get a diagnosis which is something. Just wish it didn't come with the rest is all. I wish her well in her practice. But there is a way to do this w/o making ppl feel really awful about their circumstances though. Again....the staff is above and beyond wonderful.

Dr. Mendu is the best! I’ve been seeing her for about 10 years and I wouldn’t trust anyone else. My family also goes to her and we all think she is excellent!

Dr Mendu is very caring and she takes the time to explain everything to me. She doesn’t rush you in and out. She makes you feel as though your questions matter. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I've been through this procedure at 4 times and I was very apprehensive. I've had really bad experience with my first one so when I chose dr. Mundo, I just feel like God sent me to her. I felt safe with her. I felt like she'd listen to me and really had great empathy. She treated me with empathy, kindness and compassion. All doctors should be like her in character. I wished I had her for a PCP!

From the time I walked into the clinic everyone was so pleasant. I was not looking forward to this procedure but it wasn’t so bad with everyone’s reassurance and kindness. Thank you to Dr Mendu , Clara, Christine, Lester and staff for my positive experience.
