Bon Secours- Briggs Road Family Medicine's Online Review Report Card

They will not take ADHD patients on controlled substances. Doesn't matter if your health insurance covers mainly all the doctors there. No exceptions.

Unfortunately I did not see the reviews of this facility before going. Nurses are the worst. They got my results since June 27th I have been calling them back and forward to see if someone will read my results. Always giving me excuses and act like they don’t have anything to do. Whoever is upfront she is so disrespectful, they keep telling they will call me back to give me my results. Maybe I need to wait another 2 weeks if I get lucky for them to call me.

I chose this office because it was in proximity to my job and I needed to be seen for an annual exam. I walked in the office and didn’t even get a greeting. When I interacted with one of the receptionists, she was not friendly and this made for a bad first impression. However, the NP, Ashley Elliot was great! Fast forward a month after my appointment, the claim for my visit still has not been submitted to my insurance company and rather than billing me for an annual exam, I was billed for a new patient establishment visit. Because of this, I was charged a copay when it should’ve been a free comprehensive exam visit. I’ve been calling about this for almost two weeks now, with no response or update. Every time I call the front desk, the phone just rings and rings. What doctors office doesn’t answer the phone during the week at 10:30 in the morning? Since I wasn’t able to get a hold of someone on the phone, I went into the office and spoke with Deja at the front desk (she was pleasant and helpful) and she informed me that the office manager would contact me. This was Monday, 7/24 and I still have yet to receive a call from the manager. UPDATE: I still did not receive a call from the office manager after visiting the office on Monday, 7/24 and today, 7/26 around 11 AM. I decided to return again right before 5 PM and ask to speak with her. Because I chose to be persistent and demand to speak with the manager since she decided to ignore my concerns for almost 3 days, Deja’s entire disposition changed. She initially refused to get the office manager because she didn’t want to interrupt her while she was in a meeting with the physicians. Throughout our entire interaction, I could tell that she was tired of me asking questions as her attitude became very flippant and sassy. Eventually she became frustrated with my questions and requests and stormed up out of her chair and very childishly barged into the meeting room to get the manager. I asked for her last name to report her behavior and attitude towards me and she refused to provide it. As stated before, she was friendly and helpful at first but changed her tune when I wouldn’t not take no for answer and she actually had to get up and do her job. The receptionists here must be used to patients not asking questions and demanding answers. Finally the office manager, Margie, made her way out of the meeting only to feed me excuse after excuse. She gave no real solution as to why my claim has yet to be submitted, why my visit couldn’t be coded as a new patient physical rather than just a new patient establishment, and why the phones just ring and ring with no answer. Sadly, I will have to establish primary care elsewhere because this office is just pitiful. Also, please take down all of those tacky decorations - they are overkill! And do something about all of the junk behind the receptionist desk, it looks horrible. I’m still in shock that this is a Bon Secours facility. AWFUL! 👎

Dr Cheema and staff at Briggs Road Family Medicine are not professional or do they care about patients. I totally understand why Dr Trenee has departed. I wish she would have told me what to expect from this medical center prior to her leaving. My pharmacy and I have waited over a week for an authorization and no response. After voicing my concern and being out of medication as well as communicating my issues with the staff through My Chart discussion they still haven’t responded to my request or concerns. I will NOT ever use this facility or a Bon Secours facility if within my power. Please do your due diligence and read the reasons why they are rated below 3. You will be sorry if you didn’t choose another provider! I wish I could give a below zero rating.

This place was great when Doctor Beckwith was there. Once he retired and Bon Secours took over, it went downhill. Good luck getting an appointment here. Garbage company.

Not helpful. Always issues refilling prescriptions. Rude receptionist.

They care less about you. Better find your self new drs as they are trash. Not like it was when the old owner was there. They all about running you in and out as fast as they can for the money and care less about your heath.

What kind of service does this place offer? The receptionist was rude and treated me poorly, would not give me her name, she stated I had two cancellations and one no show which I am unaware of the no show and second cancellation. “We need to know you are going to actually show up for the doctor” I have only been there once and did not reschedule appointments the last time I came. She talked over me when I was explaining my last experience and how I did not reschedule with the male doctor since he was leaving. I asked for her name over 6 times and she would not give it to me. DO NOT GO HERE

I have been going here for a few visits now and have felt so taken care of! My doctor, Dr. West, has been so kind and has showed real interest in me and has always answered all my questions no matter how small or random. The nurses that have taken care of me as well have been so nice! Making appointments is easy and if anything comes up, they call me and let me know my options and such and never makes me feel like I have no say in what happens. They always work with me and I am very happy in my choice of primary care.
