List of Carilion Clinic Family Medicine- Christiansburg's Reviews
Dr. Behrouzi is the best Dr. In Christiansburg in my opinion. He's very attentive to my needs and listens very well. He really cares about his patients. He takes care of my Diabetes and blood pressure and helps me keep them under control. I thank you very much.
I am not one to post reviews and am really not that hard to please or get along with, so the fact that I am even leaving a review says a lot in and of itself. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. I have been going here for at least 15 years and nothing has ever changed and this last phone call I had with a nurse named Wanda was the straw that broke the camel's back. There are very few, if any, friendly people in the whole place and despite going here for as long as I have, I am a literal stranger to each and every person in the office. There have been many instances where I have been met with nothing but rudeness, but today in particular was incredibly rude and inappropriate and I felt like I had to warn others not to even bother trying to establish care here. I will not go into all my health details, but today I was told on the phone "well, what do you want us to do about it?". As mentioned above, there have been many other instances in which have also been negative, but I will not bother going into details and wasting my time writing a novel. Just wanted to forewarn anyone even considering this practice.
Do not go here, and if you feel like you aren't being treated properly find a new clinic. I had been going here for years, and I got along well with Dr. Snow, but she moved fairly early on in the pandemic. Since then I have had to see Joyce Cox. She's absolutely terrible. I have made more than one complaint now to the main office about her treatment or "treatment". She has taken her hearing aids out while giving me an exam. Then ignored what I was saying because she said she couldn't hear me. I was told I am not the first person it's happened to either, her hearing aids have been stolen from a room she forgot them in. For year's I have brought up concerns about my feminine health and issues I have been having. She never took me seriously and said I was "too skinny" to menstruate (totally not true). I have around 19-20 BMI, which is considered ideal. After switching nurse practitioners in the clinic I was finally able to get an ultrasound done and found out I have a uterine abnormality which are a few of my issues. I just switched to the Blacksburg Carilion because I felt my health needs were still not being met. I'm so glad that I did! I'm now seeing Dr. Inman and feel like I'm finally being heard. The kicker is an OBGYN suggested that maybe check for Hashimoto disease. I brought this up at my first appointment with Dr. Inman and that my thyroid had tested a bit off a while back. She quickly finds those thyroid tests and tells me that I have Hashimoto. I have had a disease for over 2 years that I was NEVER told about. Hashimoto is an immune compromised disease, which can also lead to not just low thyroid numbers but erratic levels. Including flair ups that can be triggered by a number of things. After finding out I called the manager at the clinic to complain. I consider this gross neglect. The manager seemed sympathetic, and apologetic. She said she would talk to them and get back to me. About a week later I get a call back not from the manager, but from Joyce Cox herself. Saying that she was told I had a question about some of my thyroid tests...... She said my thyroid numbers looked fine and didn't see any issues. I told her that I had Hashimoto and that it showed in the tests. Joyce thought that it was a new test diagnosis, and I said no it was in that batch. Then she told me "well you have a new Dr. now, they can take care of you". The whole conversation was rude semi hostel. Some people should not be practicing medicine, and she's one of them.
We have call many times and no call back. We have been going to this clinic for for a long time but after Dr Barilla retired it has gone down hill .Lift messages on Mychart and no response.
I made an appointment with no issues. I saw Dr. Thompson. He was very responsive to my issue and took care of my issue. I’ve been a patient at this facility for many years and will remain a patient.
Called the "on call" Dr. Kadiri and never got a response back. What's the point of being on call if you don't pick up the phone and call back? If you need something just go to urgent care I guess
Tried to schedule an appointment for a pap with Dr Kadari and they refused to see me, I was told I was not a patient there. I just went to lewis gale, they took care of my pap no questions asked.
This place is a lot different now that Dr. Badilio retired😞 and they closed their Radford office too
Been coming here for years but haven't been for a checkup since COVID. Tried to schedule one now and since I haven't been in a few years they consider me a new patient and are not accepting new patients, even though through COVID they were closed and refused to see anyone. So you refuse to see me during that time but since I haven't been, now I can't come back? How does that make sense?
I been going there quite a few years.I enjoy the additude the front desk always has and the nurses as well. They have good doctors there, and you don't have to wait long to see your doctor. Way to go team. You are my heros. H.B.Bayne

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
