List of Bon Secours- Colonial Heights Family Medicine's Reviews
Approximately 7 months ago I suffered a series of unexplained/unprovoked hemorrhagic strokes or brain bleeds. Needless to say, I still suffer from daily headaches ranging in severity. Some days the pain is so intense I’m unable to function, work my job or care for my three small children adequately. My whole life has been turned upside down and I’m trying my best to navigate uncharted territory. As of today, I have been waiting for 5 consecutive days for my prescription to be sent to the pharmacy. Five days I have been in excruciating pain with a migraine that will NOT go a way. Office staff gives me no explanation or adequate help except to wait another 48 hours, I am unable to send messages within the MyChart app suddenly, and I’m left to sit here without any guidance or help. This isn’t a hair salon or boutique. This is a medical facility in the business of treating patient’s suffering real medical issues. Unacceptable.
I had my first appointment today. The front desk was extremely professional and friendly. I was seen promptly. The nurse was really nice and made me feel very comfortable. The Doctor was prompt to see me; gave me a thorough physical, prescribed my medications, and scheduled all my needed appointments for specialists. She is very kind. I am glad I found this doctor's office.
This is one of the worst places I ever been dealing with the some of the staff is ok the rest can go to hell all I care only a few people are nice in will help you out the only Dr I wish I could have is Dr.Lewis he is so sweet and kind when he left everything went down hill
What was once a good doctors office now not so great ever since Bon Secours took over. I can't get an appointment in soon enough, the lab there was closed on the day I needed testing, I haven't been able to see my regular PCP in years and they left me on read a couple of months ago in the patient portal. I'll be looking for a new doctor's office.
No one told me that Dr Lewis was leaving the practice. I later received a letter a few days before my appointment with the name of Bon Secours Drs in Richmond. So, now I am looking for a DOCTOR. I don’t know if the whole practice shut its doors in Colonial Heights? Also, You can never really establish a relationship with your Dr because they are constantly leaving. Dr Lewis said that he was staying. Now, he gone.
I was sick and went through this doctor they are the best, No wait time , And good nurses,
I set up an appointment over a month ago. They canceled my appointment with less than a week’s notice because the provider left the practice, and told me it would be January before they could get me in because “I’m a new patient.” (the appointment was set in September). I explained to them I set the appointment when I did because I was about to run out of medication and they said there was nothing they could do and told me to call their Chester location. I called that location and they were closed. Now I’m stuck with no appointment, no medication, and a huge problem where I need medication and likely won’t get in anywhere for MONTHS. Beware of this practice. STAY AWAY.
Absolutely worst, unprofessional experience. I don’t usually post reviews.. but this one takes it. I asked the Doctor questions.. she left the room and mocked my questions with other coworkers. Do not go here. You don’t deserve what I went through.
I went to my appointment after waiting two months taking off work ,receiving a confirmation call only to be told I didn’t have an appointment with Jean Davis.
I had an appointment with Dr. Lewis & he was great! I look forward to my next appt with him. Service was fine I didn't have to wait long at all either, HOWEVER, there was a problem with the pharmacy and the prescription I was given so the pharmacy has faxed them at least 3 times with no answer from them. I also called them three different times that week trying to get in touch with someone to help me get my medicine. I left two different voicemails. No luck! I gave up for a week and called the other day. A person answered and transferred me to someone & no answer yet again! I left another voicemail. It seems like it's impossible to get some answers and I'm way past frustrated.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
