The 1st time I met Dr. Schroen I was impressed with her skill set compared to other cancer surgeons! Dr. Schroen does not make her patients wait for a long time to see her. Dr. Schroen has compassion for those who have cancer issues! Dr. Schroen explains her approach for what is recommended for the best outcome for a prolonged life when faced with cancer issues! Dr. Schroen works with other doctors such as oncology, plastic surgeon, and radiology. I had a very difficult case of cancer, but Dr. Schroen saved my life! I have to say there are not too many doctors I trust in this day and age! I really think GOD led me to the UVA Cancer Center where a whole team of competent doctors put a plan together to stop a very aggressive form of cancer! Thank you Dr. Schroen and the whole team of UVA Cancer doctors in saving my life!

I went with my family member to see Dr Shroen regarding removing an enlarged lymph node. This appointment had been arranged by our hematologist. We waited over an hour to get in to see her. No apology. Then she made us feel that she didn’t want anything to do with us or our case. She didn’t move ahead any plan such as scheduling surgery nor did she seem to have an empathy for our situation and our 2 hour travel time to see her. My family member is only 23 years old and is facing possible lymphoma. Shame on her. I would not go or recommend anyone else go to her.
