Do not see Dr. Lawrence R. Whitehurst if you have a child who is nervous around physicians or has any sensory sensitivities. My son has autism and really freaked out when Dr. Whitehurst attempted to look in his ears. We could not get my son to cooperate with having his ears examined so a nurse and I attempted to hold my son so that Dr. Whitehurst could complete the exam, but my son was too strong and kept getting out of the hold. Dr. Whitehurst angrily stated that he could not examine children who do not cooperate and berated my child for not cooperating. I told him again, along with the nurse (the nurse was wonderful) that he is autistic and not acting uncooperative on purpose. To be clear, I do not hold Dr. Whitehurst in contempt for not being able to complete the exam, or even being a little frustrated that my son was uncooperative. What angers me is the way he attempted to shame my 4-year-old autistic child about it. My son was sick, scared and completely overwhelmed. As a medical professional Dr. Whitehurst should know that when a person is in fight or flight mode they cannot be reasoned with. Shaming them will not do anything other than make an individual feel worse. Shame on Dr. Whitehurst. There is simply no excuse for that level of unprofessionalism in 2025.
I previously attempted to come to this *seven days a week* clinic for food poisoning only to find the door locked and no employees around an hour after opening.I went back today for a shoulder/upper-back injury only for the receptionist to be very disrespectful and rude. I was treated very poorly by the receptionist when I asked if there was a rough estimate of a wait time. I received zero updates for over an hour and a half! I even tried to explain the reason I was there as I usually do and was spoken over multiple times.Do not go to this clinic! The only silver lining would be the polite nurse and doctor, who also are at the other Wellspring location in town which is *much* better! If it wasn't for the fact this clinic was across the street from my work, I would have happily gone to the other location. Avoid this clinic!
Love this place and dr grice such an amazing doctor
Scheduled an appointment and drove 4 hours only to find out that they had canceled the appointment on me for some reason. They never tried to call or contact me at all. Be careful with this establishment.
Always a pleasure to go here. Our needs are always meet for my family. Dr K always takes good care of my son. Her nurse Casie is amazing as well. I love being able to go to one place for the whole family.
Abigail Carruthers was wonderful. The Wellsprings walk in clinic has always been able to see me last minute and are always very wonderful and understanding.
Amazing clinic! Fast and Efficient! I have never had to wait more than 10 min to get into a room!
I love this clinic, pediatric and adult care is one of a kind!
My daughter hurt her ankle over the weekend. I took her to Wellspring Monday. She was examined by Caitlin. Caitlin gave her a day off. I asked if she should be on light duty. Caitlin said, "We cannot put her on light duty. We received the out of wirk note but Caitlin recommended modify activities which basically put her in light duty. Job wants a release from medical physician. Wellspring wanted an additional $150. I asked for release note. They refused to talk with us and called the police. Be very careful of these quack facilities. Their isn't policy to nit out on light duty but do so anyway and want more money.
I have been getting sick quite frequently and I have been happy to return here each time. Dr. Kay is amazing and so understanding that you really don't feel well. She is a great part of Wellsprings and makes it easier for me to come back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
