March 2021- Dr. Adams and his team repaired by mitral and tricuspid valves. Without any doubt, went to the best surgeon in the US for a mitral valve repair,. Dr. Adams' team was outstanding, particularly in the ICU. It is worth noting that I work in chronic care field and in measuring health care outcomes, so I very carefully reviewed the outcome data, hospital ratings, patient ratings, bios, etc. of the top surgeons and hospitals throughout the US. Made the right choice!

Dr. Adams performed surgery on my Mother. She had a valve replacement that was recommended to do now while she was strong and healthy so as to not cause more problems in her later years. Surgery took way longer then predicted, who knows what went on in there. Her care at Mt. Sinai was sub par and she was released from the hospital in dire condition as well enough to go home by the PA on staff. She passed away that evening at our local emergency room after a 7 hour nightmare there. Awful follow up after our loss. I’ve posted this review before but it keeps on getting removed, unlike the pain of losing my Mom.

All wonderful things to say about Dr.Adams and his team! An absolute 5 out of five rating! I have been to many Doctors and from the administration staff to his surgical team I am so grateful to have flown from Naples,Florida to have him as my surgeon. He and his entire team were professional and listened to my questions and most definitely saved my life.

Dr. Adams is likely the best heart surgeon in the NYC area. He explains every patient question and explains all details of an upcoming surgery. As one of his patients I can't say enough good things about Dr. Adams and his staff. His talent is illustrated by outstanding patient outcomes.

He is sweet and knowledgeable although I think his staff involves to many: meaning too many cooks in the kitchen and he isn't able to oversee them all. Most are good but a few are sarcastic and in hurry to move you out. In my case I assume: one thought the other was carrying for me appropriately so everyone thought the other anticoagulated me... never got anticoagulated and had massive stroke within 24 hours. Discuss all aspects of care,don't assume "experts" will do all correctly. Good luck!!

My grandmother was recently admitted to the hospital under the care of Dr. Adams and Dr. Boateng. My grandmother had a stroke and needed a heart surgery. The team worked very hard to make the surgery happen and our family couldn’t be more thankful. Words cannot describe how grateful and thankful we are to trust the team because not only did they save my grandmother’s life but open our eyes to new possibilities. Thank You!

I had Rheumatic Fever as a child, and 30+ years later had two valves repaired by Dr. Adams last year. I am very thankful with Dr. Adams and his team. I live in NJ and visited many Surgeons covered by my insurance, but with Dr Adams and his staff's help I was able to get my surgery with the best! I feel great and was able to enjoy the summer without shortness of breath. I thank God and Dr. Adams every day.

Dr. Adams is not only personable, he is one of the best in performing mitral valve repair, and has a team of highly competent and professional co-surgeons. I felt very comfortable putting my heart in his hands and my experience post op could not have been more favorable. I highly recommend Dr. Adams for anyone having mitral valve repair. He told me the chances of repairing my valve were 100% and his last replacement over repair was 13 years ago.
