List of G. Neil Foster's Reviews
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Foster and his staff. I chose Dr. Foster based off where he would be delivering my baby. After our first ultrasound we discovered twins and I was very comforted by the fact that he had multiples experience when I was reading his website, although I did not know I'd need it at the time haha. His care was wonderful throughout my pregnancy, my daughters were born term, 37w6d, via csection for breech presentation with no complications so I couldn't be happier. They are happy wonderful 13 month old little ladies thanks to Dr. Foster, Shannon and Neecy.
Not too happy with this office. They supposedly put in a "STAT" referral to a local ENT while I was there Friday morning. Followed up with the ENT Monday afternoon only to be informed that no referral came through. Called this office to inquire about status of the referral, was transferred to their "referral department" only to be told that not only were there were no notes of the completion of my last appointment but there was no request for a referral to the "referral department" and no indication that a referral was ever made!
Caring doctor and amazing staff. Thanks to him we caught my breast cancer early and he referred me to an amazing team. This man and staff truly care about its patients.
I've been a patient of Dr. Foster's for 21 years. He is patient and answers all of your questions directly. Shannon and Neecy are terrific as well and always make you feel comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend!
I had a horrible pregnancy and delivery experience with Dr. foster. The staffs are friendly but the doctor was grumpy during delivery and didn’t know how to deal well with the complications I had. I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum which caused me to constantly throw up including water. I spent so much money going to the emergency twice a week just for IV, while this whole time he could’ve done what my friends doctor did for her when she was diagnosed with same thing. A nurse came and gave her an IV daily. That’s just one example. Also during delivery he promised to help loosen up my pelvic floor to avoid tear, well I got 4th degree tear and that day he didn’t even want to speak to me. I got postpartum depression and a horrible experience I highly highly don’t recommend him please find a better doctor.

The staff is wonder. Dr. Foster sucks. I’ve been a patient for years and all I’ve ever needed done was a routine PAP smear so you don’t have to be Mr. Personality . Last week I went in with a couple of sore lumps in my breast. He walked in and his first words were “so your getting old and lumpy I hear”. Keep in mind I don’t know this man well enough for jokes about lumps in my breast. He took very little time with me said it was probably cyst but I’m too old really for cyst??? The most comfort he gave me was “it’s probably not breast cancer”. Who knows. He told me to get a mammogram. He didn’t seem interested in answering any of my questions about post menopausal breast cyst. He just seemed like he didn’t care. I have a PAP scheduled for next month. Really thinking about cancelling and finding another doctor.
Disappointed by Dr. Foster's detached and insensitive demeanor. There are productive ways to manage sensitive issues without offending the patient. He clearly was not interested in being helpful or productive in offering solutions. But charged for the visit, when he could have made a call and spared both of us the unpleasantries.
I've only had one appoinent so far but Dr. Foster left such a wonderful impression on me and my husband that I'm finally excited to be pregnant. After having some struggles previously, he really put my mind at ease. I'm looking forward to the next visits with him. The whole team is wonderful there, from the front desk (Neesey) to the nurse (Shannon).
I started seeing Dr Foster when I moved to Virginia at around the age of 40. He was the first person to tell me that I had endometriosis. Previous physicians told me I had ovarian cysts (numerous times), and more than 1 told me that I may never have children (due to ovulation issues). Even after I gave birth to my daughter, at age 33, I was never diagnosed with endometriosis until meeting Dr Foster. Bottom line - Dr Foster not only diagnosed my endo, he also took care of it during my hysterectomy (which he performed). I can’t thank him enough for what he did for me. I was (& still am) a completely different person after meeting Dr Foster. He literally changed my life for the better. Thank you so much.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
