List of Benjamin D Martin's Reviews
Not a Children’s Doctor or anyone’s. This “Doctor” should not be working with children. He is not emphatic and thinks he is entitled. I should have read the reviews before taking my daughter to him. He made my daughter feel worthless, and delivered his so called diagnosis with out any care or basis (only his “educated opinion” matter). Please, avoid taking your children to him.
Not emphatic, entitled and rude.
Avoid at all cost. Not emphatic and entitled. Delivers his “guessed diagnosis” with out care in front of your children. Extremely rude. Parents of other children were complaining about this doctor at the office. Never going back again.
Horrible Experience Dr. Martin told my teenage son, who has scoliosis and was complaining about back pain -“welcome to adulthood where 25% of us experience back pain”. That was it, a two minute visit. He lacks empathy and any feelings for his patients. Never again.
He really didn't listen and was quick to move to the next patient!
Seek 2nd opinion if your child is a toe walker 13 y/o developed persistent toe walking during the pandemic. General PT didn't help. She then saw Dr. Martin. If MRI was clear, he wanted to do surgery on her achilles. He and the PA said surgery was the only option. Bedside manner was inappropriate when my daughter asked about complications. 'If the achilles burst, we would be screwed'. Got a 2nd opinion from another pediatric ortho surgeon. His surgical approach was completely different from the one Dr. Martin presented. But this surgeon then asked if we had seen PM&R yet. Followed it by saying the ortho surgeon should be our last resort. We went on to have her see PM&R and her toe walking was successfully treated in a conservative manner with PT/serial casting. This happened in 2021.
Dr. Martin has been treating my son since 2015. My son was diagnosed with Perthes disease and it required surgery as well as extensive followup. My sons condition is far from life-threatening, but he's my son and I had a lot of concern and questions. Dr. Martin was a model of patience and understanding. While Childrens Hospital does get busy and appointments get backed up...when it's our turn, he's there for us until we've had all our questions answered. I highly recommend Dr. Martin.
I would not recommend Dr. Martin for your child. He was not responsive, cold, and most importantly did not provide adequate guidance for how best to care for our son's injury. His office (if I can call it that) is bizarrely unprofessional and aloof. Stay away if you can...
Wonderful with patients and supportive to scared parents!
14 yr old child had to have scolosis surgery, from first appointment staff and doctor were wonderful, reassuring, and informative. It is quite a busy office but considering the volume of other patients, we did not feel rushed...we were given full attention at all times. Our experience at Children's Hospital was awesome, followup appointments always went well. We were very fortunate to have found Dr. Martin and his team..thank you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
