I saw Dr. Tekola three times in a year and a half after switching to her because my former doctor of 10 years from the same practice retired. I couldn't get responses to my questions about medications I was taking that gave me some serious side effects. I changed my prescription twice on my own because I didn't get a response from her and I needed to get a refill before I ran out. It took 2 weeks both times with multiple calls and messages and written email to the nurse to get a response that she sent my prescription. No other explanation to the questions I had asked her. The only way to communicate with this office is to leave a message with the nurse or call to a call center somewhere who will take your message and send it to the nurse. I talked to the nurse and she said she got my messages and just waiting for the doctor to respond. My previous doctor and his nurse were so responsive. I had an emergency situation and they took care of it right away communicating through email and voice mail, the same way. Not Dr. Tekola. I will not be seeing her anymore. **The response below shows that they are ill-equipped with their system. I have been a patient with this office for over 10 years and I am definitely in the system, but I will definitely be in contact.

I chose her to be my specialist after my doctor of 10 years retired from the same practice. It was difficult getting to her through her nurse. I needed to change my prescription twice, and both times took about 2 weeks to get her response. I had questions about the medications and she didn't respond to my inquiry. The only way to reach this office to through leaving a voice mail to a nurse or a call center will take your message and send it to the nurse. It's very frustrating with her. I never had this problem with my former doctor. I will not be seeing her again.

I can't be any more pleased than I am to have had a colonoscopy with Dr. Tekola and her marvelous team. I don't know why, but I was expecting a hellish experience and negative diagnosis, and none of my fears were founded. The procedure went off flawlessly, she put me at ease, there was no discomfort...not even any drowsiness upon coming out of general anesthesia. If I knew it could be such an enjoyable experience, I would have opted to have the procedure years ago. I am so happy to have a go-to surgeon for any future digestive issues I might have. Thank God for such wonderful doctors. Thank you, thank you!

I had a colonoscopy a few days ago. All staff was great, Dr spent appropriate time, listened carefully and answered all it was asked, she showed a truly care.
