List of Christine Z Baldrate's Reviews
We love Dr. Baldrate! As new parents, Dr. Baldrate listens and answers all our questions patiently and helps alleviate any concerns or questions we have. One of the best things about Dr Baldrate is that I don’t feel rushed and she really takes her time with her patients. She gives great and clear instructions. Most importantly, she gives gentle and loving care to our preemie daughter (who is now really catching up!)
Professional, kind, and amazing people skills. My sons are now 17 and 19 and I have never had a bad experience. Thank you so much for taking care of my sons... and me!
It was my first pediatrician visit for my newborn, and when I first met Dr. Baldrate, it was awkward because she never even introduced herself to me or my husband. Frankly, she made the visit uncomfortable because she was judgmental. My husband and I are new parents, and we are learning. We need support and feedback, not criticism. After enduring labor and a few sleepless nights with a baby, I expected Dr. Baldrate to be warm and inviting. I'd like to think Dr. Baldrate had a bad day. I believe in presuming positive intentions of others. Although I had a subpar experience with Dr. Baldrate, I highly recommend Sally Rader, the nurse practitioner. She is knowledgeable, passionate, and an outstanding listener.
It was my first visit to the pediatrician with my newborn son, and the doctor was so awkward. She never even introduced herself or made it incredibly uncomfortable. She was judgment as well. I will never go back to this woman.
I’m having a good experience with Dr Baldrate. My baby is one month old and every time I go to the clinic we don’t wait in the waiting room (I imagine that since my baby didn’t take her vaccines yet, it’s good to avoid contact with other kids that are sick in the waiting room). There is a parking space, super convinient because you don’t need to worry where to park.
Absolutely hate taking my kids the Dr are ok but the front desk people , to make an appt you have to call the front desk then has the nurse call you that takes for ever and then the nurse that calls you back is rude!! I called this past Friday my kids have a cough and the nurse said to me so what it's just a cough , wrong answer to a mother ,they change 15$ if you all in the weekend out of he and when u have labs you need to pay a convince fee . I'm definitely not taking my kids back
They are great doctors and nurses. We've yet to interact with anybody there who we haven't liked and who hasn't done a great job. But there's is one significant drawback: It is nearly impossible to get anybody there on the phone to answer even the most simple questions. They don't employ anybody whose job it is to answer phones, so even questions that could be answered in 10 seconds have to go through their automated system and a nurse calls back whenever one of the happens to have a free moment.
She is a wonderful human being and a caring mom herself. All three of my children have been seeing her from their birth and I feel so grateful that they have a doctor who knows them well, cares about how they are doing, patiently puts up with my repeated questions and calls to the office to ask "just one more thing," is willing to pursue all medical possibilities when there is a concern, and seems to truly love my kids. We adore Dr. Baldrate.
We left after 1 appointment...they had us sign an insurance waiver to use their lab after bragging about how wonderful it was...we went to have the lab work, and after waiting, there was a lab fee personally paid that we were not told about. Their lobby is littered with sign about all the 'new fees' for this that an the other. I can get fees for 'no shows'...or something that takes a lot of time. This place takes the cake! Just no more cake from me. We originally signed up for another doctor at this practice....the complaint applies to all because you can't rate the practice. The only way to let people know how bad the practice fee structure is, is by the laborious commenting process on each of the member doctors. The main complaint is about the practice that they have for fees!!!! Extra FEES everywhere!!! They will nickel and dime you (25-50 dollars for everything extra). They get you to use their lab because they can get you the results quickly. When you go downstairs, there's an extra fee for using their lab (on top of the payments that you must make for lab fees- on the high end to start with). RIDICULOUS... we will not be back. Especially since the staff was as best curt in greeting and dispensing of business tasks.
My experience from the beginning when my daughter was first born, I took her to see dr baldrate, she was amazing. I never thought I could find an exceptable doctor to care for the most important person in my life, but I did and I would recommend everyone to her! She spent so much time with us because my daughter had really bad reflux so she spent the time to watch to see how she responds. Also I always had tons of questions and she did not rush me at all!!! I also saw other doctors there when I took my daughter in for an emergency and they were all great! Go northern va pediatrics Luv them!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
