In 2017, Dr. Dufresne performed my rhinoplasty with septoplasty. I was left with a poor result with a significant dorsal hump. A year later Dr. Dufresne charged me for a revision rhinoplasty with the intention of removing the hump. I ended up with a “polly beak,” the dorsal hump remained, my tip was extremely over rotated and unacceptably shortened. After two years my nose began collasping internally obstructing my airway. My nose was ruined, I was devastated! I spent many months consulting with top surgeons on the East and West coast, some turned me away due to the severity of. I was fortunate to find an esteemed surgeon in Chicago specializing in botched rhinoplasty correction. After enduring a six hour complex surgery requiring multiple grafts, my nose was sucessfully rebuilt. It wasn’t until after the surgery I learned the extent of the damage Dr. Dufresne inflicted on my nose. In the end, Dr. Dufresne’s deficiencies cost me over $36,000 to correct. I do not recommend Dr. Dufresne for rhinoplasty/septoplasty.

I visited about five plastic surgeons over the past year to find someone who could repair the disfigurement caused by another plastic surgeon during the aftermath of an unsuccessful revised eyebrow lift. In the course of meeting these plastic surgeons, the same reconstructive surgeon's name was mentioned time and time again: Dr. Dufresne. "Consult with Dr. Dufresne." They were right. Dr. Dufresne is a consummate surgeon--professional, reassuring, skillful, knowledgeable, thorough. From the moment that I met him, I felt that I could trust him. He answered my questions patiently. He was always receptive to answering any additional questions that I might have. He exceeds expectations. For example, during the first stage of my surgery, he discovered an infection. He took the initiative to treat it, although it was not part of the original surgical plan.My recent surgery, stage two, with Dr. Dufresne was a complete success! Now, after three years and three surgeries performed by less competent surgeons who could not restore my appearance, I finally look like a normal person again. I am truly grateful to Dr. Dufresne for everything that he has done.I want to add that Anita, the Dr. Dufresne's nurse and assistant, was always friendly and helpful to me, inspiring confidence. Dr. Dufresne is my hero. My first encounter was for a Natural Face lift which looks awesome. I had a botched breast reconstruction from a previous plastic surgeons and I decided to have Dr. Dufresne do the surgery. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1988 and have had numerous revisions over the years. No one has been able execute the revisions like Dr. Dufresne and now my breasts look natural for the first time. I love that Dr. Dufresne explains exactly what he is going to do and set my expectations and he is really patient. After having seen the work of many plastic surgeons I highly recommend Dr. Dufresne.
