List of Eric B Sklar Md's Reviews
I agree with the reviews of this practice. While I like Dr. Sklar, the staff and getting through to ANYONE is difficult to say the least. My pharmacy faxes them, I call no one answers, no one calls back, and when you do get someone they are rude and not helpful. It's very frustrating to say the least.
I see Dr. Sklar and while I like him his staff is horrible. I called other week after having four seizures and I couldn’t get a hold of anyone. When I did the nurse was very rude and she didn’t believe me and therefor wouldn’t help me or let me speak to someone who could. It’s clear that some of his staff don’t care about others and that’s not ok.
Dr. Skalar and his team are HORRIBLE. I genuinely do not know how this office is even still around. I have been calling for weeks trying to get an appointment and I finally got through today after being on hold for countless days and hours and the woman on the phone HUNG UP ON ME. I’m switching providers. I can’t deal with this office anymore. Dr. Skalar should have his medical license revoked for the poor service his office provides.
quiet but GOOD ! man of few words, will explain things and make suggestions and my son likes him !
My husband is the patient, he loves the treatment he gets here, but there is always a long hold time when you call them and they just put you into someone's mailbox. Not always the right mailbox, sometimes the mailboxes aren't even set up and you have to call back. They also take up to 72 hours to call you back. That is a bit much to me and I didn't give them a 5 because I am the one always making the calls.
Dr. Sklar sent me for a sleep study on 11/16/19. The following week, they got the results and were supposed to set up an appointment with Lincare, to get a CPAP. I never heard anything, so I called Lincare around 12/1/19 and they never received anything from Dr. Sklar's office. I've called Dr. Sklar several times, and always get an answering machine. I've left several messages and never received a return phone call. I've talked to Lincare 3 times, and they said they've left messages as well, with no return call. It's now 1/18/20, over 60 days later, and still no CPAP or reply from Dr. Sklar's office.
Truly atrocious service. I needed to change a sleep study provider and have tried to contact the office by phone and my chart for over two weeks. There is no response - only long and convoluted telephone trees. I may have to see another doctor to get decent service.
I was recommended for a repeat sleep study and was able to work with Dr Sklar through his portal to get the appropriate test after several sleep issues suddently arose. The problem was, I never received a report, I was unable to get a follow up with Dr. Sklar in a reasonable amount of time, and ended up working with a nurse practitioner who was unfamiliar with my case. Noone responded to my message in the portal. Afterword, INOVA was very intrepid about wanting an evaluation of the nurse practitioner, if only they were as patient orientated about getting me my report.
Absolutely atrocious service. I needed to change a sleep study provider and could not get the office to respond to either phone messages or MyChart messages for more than two weeks - and counting. I will likely need to see another doctor to start the process over.
The rudest staff ever! I got a referal from my GP to this guy so I called them for an appointment. The first time they hung up on me. Second time I hung up on them after they screamed "Hello! Hello!" into the phone. I'm a deaf person using relay. How do people this rude stay in business?

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
