List of Eric Jw Choe's Reviews
I had stopped by today. My family doctor recommend this doctor and appointment 1 month ago. But korean lady who she receptionist she didn't make schedule. I already confirmed with family doctor's office three times. No she Korean lady she's shouting at me and yelling me and bad words to me for the don't go these doctor's anymore. Nurse and recession is they do like this doctor, of course same ...
Had a follow up appointment after I passed my kidney stone. His staff was very pleasant and professional. The doctor was very affable and professional. Doctor Choe was to the point and offered excellent advice to avoid anymore stones. I enjoyed the visit and recommend this Urologist!
If you have kidney stone please spend time to read this review DO NOT COME TO THIS DOCTOR ERIC CHEO (he need to retired) I should be ratting this doctor a 0 star , If u have large kidney stone like I do , this Doctor is not the right one for you . Don’t wast time time and money , All he does is want you to visit his office as many time as possible so he can charge the insurance, I brought him the CT scan that I have 2X1.5 cm kidney stone on my right side so he gave me 3 options 1- shockwave 2 - laser 3 - surgery from the back remove it He never Mentioned that he doesn’t do (2&3 ) he said he recommended the shockwaves cuz it less invasive . So I agreed to do that cuz he said he’s been doing it for 30 years Put me in the surgery center try to do the shock wave and during the procedure he count not push the stent in , I woke up the nurse told me that he couldn’t push the stent in and they just sent me home without come talk to me tell me what’s happened to the procedure, I have to call back the next day to ask so he can bill me another visit ( he is all about money )
If I could give 0 stars I would. This practice is a complete joke, and everyone who works there has 0 people and interpersonal skills. The front desk staff first and foremost are rude and condescending. I am not sure who the older Asian lady is, but the first day I ever went there, she joked about how I was not yet able to pass a 3 mm kidney stone. Ok so she may claim "it's just a joke." But I am also in my 30s and facing a lot of unprecedented health challenges and the last thing I need is someone mocking me for something SHE sees as funny, when it is not for me. As anyone who has had kidney stones knows, they are painful as hell, and for each person the pain is different, regardless of the size of the stone.Secondly, the doctor is rushed and does not spend time explaining anything. It had been over a month and I was unsure if I passed my stone. So he requested I do an ultrasound and X-ray to check. My understanding was that their office was going to do the ultrasound at the next follow up appointment and if the stone is detected, I would then have to go to another location to get surgery/laser done. He was so quick to rush me out the door that he didn't tell me it was the conclusion of the appointment and I had to run back to get my purse in the examination room, once I realized. Also, I had called the office asking for clarification on needing to do the examinations first or just coming in for the follow up with Dr. Choe. A front desk staff said they would ask the doctor and call me back. I never got a call back. So low and behold I came to the follow up not knowing I needed to do the screens first.I come back for the follow up appointment, where I was told I made the mistake of not going to do the ultrasound and X-ray at a separate location, and THEN have this follow up consult with the doctor. They were extremely unclear on the procedures at the first appointment. And not only that, when I went to check in for the appointment, the person at the front tells me I'm late to the 1 pm appointment when I know for a fact it was scheduled for 1:15pm, as she called me two days prior to confirm. I pull out my phone and played the voicemail out loud for her in which she HERSELF had called to inform me of the 1:15 pm appointment! Then, she stares blankly at me saying I had a balance I had to pay before I could see the doctor. This balance was NEVER communicated to me at the first appointment. She was adamant and kept repeating that I had to pay this (and mind you, I was making an attempt to pay this, and just clarifying the charge since this was the first time hearing about it).Needless to say, this practice doesn't care about its patients, especially new ones. They have an established clientele and like some practices that have this, declined in their overall functioning as a practice. I am a very passive person and soft spoken, but this practice is horrendous enough for me to leave a review. Do yourself a favor and find another practice, even if you have to drive further or pay more.
Dr. Choe and his staff are very professional and competent. I have been with them for over 20 years
I have been going to Dr. Choe for over 20 years and he has always had my health as a Top concern. The staff has been changed over the years and has always been good to me. I have never been to another urologist so I cannot compare to anyone else as I never a need to.
I suspect people giving out decent rating, has only been there once, when the 90% of the staffs are not present. Been here numerous times, and I definitely do not recommend. Have a few friends who happened to visit this office (on numerous occasions), all say the same thing. You can give 5 stars for Dr Choe, but the incompetence among rest of the workers should be more than obvious to rate this establishment as a whole, a one star.
I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Choe and his staff. After reading the other reviews, I will admit I was a little nervous before my first visit. I can gladly say I was wrong to be nervous. Every staff member I interacted with were very nice and professional. Dr. Choe himself is a very kind doctor that takes his time with you to make sure you understand the situation and answers any questions you may have. I highly recommend Dr. Choe and please take the other reviews with a grain of salt.
I bet you will have some unpleasant experience as I have today when you visit this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
