Dr Castro saved my life hes always been their for me and he speaks spanish

Wow, I cannot believe some of the prior reviews. During every visit, he was attentive, knowledgeable, helpful. I have a very rare bara sensor failure (regulates the BP), the result of major radiation to my neck 12 years ago. A typical cardiologist is not familiar with this. He always gives me plenty of time. After a comprehensive exam this week, he asked - how is your family during this winter season??? I'll stack him up against any cardiologist in town!!!

Dr. Castro has done two cardioversions for me and he is the best! He is kind, explains everything that is going to happen and puts you at ease. It's a scary thing to have done even if you are anesthetized. Hopefully, I won't have to have another one, but if I do, I want Dr. Castro to do it. In fact, this time, I asked for him specifically. Luckily, he was working at the hospital this week so he could help me. Also, he seems very appreciative of the other doctors and nurses helping him, so I think that speaks to who he is as a person.

Very poor bedside manner. Does not spend enough time with the patient to ask or listen to concerns. Would not recommend.

Dr. Castro has refused to address this issue in his office. His staff is unprofessional and refuse to do their jobs.Monique refused to look up a telephone number for an insurance company for us - said she was too busy. Instead of making our visit calming and allowing my husband to worry about his appointment, she rudelyinsisted that he 'need to do that'. That it 'wasn't her job' to assist patients. In fact, she threatened that if we did not come up with the phone number, we would be paying out of pocket for the visit. A swarm of people at the desk, but not one can see fit to assist a patient who is having a hard enough time and needs to remain calm for their cardiology appointment. Extremely disappointed. Would never recommend this practice based on interaction with this staff. Dr. Castro needs to re-staff this office before he loses more patients to this bad bahavior.
