Dr. Hartzell is one of the best. She is compassionate, caring and explains everything to you. My wife and I have been going to her for about a year now, and we have no complaints. She is always on time, and willing to work with you. She was able to take me the same day of a phone call after a potential eye injury! I can't go see my primary doc for sometimes weeks at a time, but I can see a fantastic specialist in a few hours! I would recommend to anyone in the area. The office is quiet, clean and presentable. Her exam equipment is modern, and well maintained. I can't say enough. If you are in the need for a knowledgeable ophthalmologist, who also performs a variety of surgeries- she is the one to see. Give her a call, and if she doesn't answer leave a message and she will keep right back to you! We will definitely be keeping her as our go to ophthalmologist and when my wife is ready for her Laser Eye surgery, we wont have a question on who to call.

After 5 years and multiple visits I say with conviction that Dr Hartzell’s Superior knowledge , meticulous attention and excellent diagnostic ability , in my judgement is unmatched !

I cannot recall how long my family has been seeing Dr. Hartzell, it has been that long. She may take her time with patients but that is a small price for the quality of care she provides. She has always been available, friendly and an extremely caring doctor. Easy to get in touch with, easy to schedule appointments with and willing to spend the time to make sure I understand my treatment and treatment options.

Absolutely terrible doctor. I cannot recommend her to anyone. She is rude, has no patience and lacks empathy. She does not have someone to manage her office and she is doing a poor job of it. She gave no time to fill out paper work after running over with a patient. My one bit of advice to the doctor at the practice is please hire a receptionist/office manager or build more time in between appointments. She is more concerned about money than her patients. Find a different ophthamologist.

I would not recommend this doctor. She may be a good eye doctor (i'll never return to find out), but she has absolutely poor customer relations skills. She is quite rude. Additionally, she does not have any office staff, which means, if you arrive early to complete paperwork and she is busy with another patient, you don't get to fill out your paperwork and she will rush you because as she will let you know, she has other patients to see. She doesn't make you feel like she is there for you.

Doctor Heather Hartzell is one of the best Ophthalmologist in our area. And the reason I say this is because back in 2008 I had a severe trauma injury into my right eye. It required three surgeries to construct my eye without knowing if I was going to be able to keep my eye sight or even to keep it. But Doctor heather Harzell did save my eye and my eye sight. I'll never forget what she did for me... Many thanks to you Doctor.
