List of Homayoun A Hashemi Md's Reviews
Very good Doctor, very nice and careful. Matilda Pitigoi.
Dr Homayoun A Hashemi is not pro actively handling his patients. His not clarifying the problem and options to the solution. On the other hand when it comes to his staff they're even worse. His staff member had scheduled my surgery at 10am and asked me to come in the hospital by 8am. As per the instructions I came did my registration and finished preops in 30 to 45min, after that nothing till 10:30am even no signs of Dr coming in. Please do your homework before putting your life at risk with this careless Dr and his unprofessional staff.
Dr did not want to treat my family member who was in pain. Pressured him to leave hospital in pain.
On behalf of coordinating an appointment for a family member and supporting them through their health pains: rude bedside manners from the doctor, who didn't show care or interest for a patient under stress due to health issues - hence, why they were there; they do not come in for fun and to purposely waste a doctor's time, including their own time. Incorrect phone number and address listed for the doctor, making it a wild goose chase to simply schedule an appointment during a busy workday when we have our own work to manage; a horrible process end to end when it should be simple to select a day/time, share insurance details, and receive portal information to upload documents/fill out survey - none of those details were easy to manage from the staff and it was like pulling tooth and nail for each step. A total waste of our time, efforts, and money, and a prime example of why people criticize the US healthcare system.
$281.52 out of pocket after insurance to see an unhelpful doctor who was condescending toward someone in pain.
I have had pain and discomfort in my legs for many years. My veins were dialated more than 5 times the normal size. I was extremely nervous about getting surgery. Dr. Hashemi was AMAZING!!!! He answered all my questions and helped me feel at ease about my upcoming procedures. I had 3 vein closures and surgery on both legs for painful varicose veins. A total of 4 separate procedures. I am so pleased and grateful for going to Dr. Hashemi and all of his staff!!!!!
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Hashemi. I spent most of 3 hours waiting to see him for my first visit. When he finally came to my room, about 5pm, he did not sit down, barely spent 5 minutes with me. Then proceeded to see another patient. I brought test results to get second opinion on a vascular procedure. He refuted the results with no basis. The results demonstrated a significant deficiency. I feel as though I forced him to discuss my options. When I expressed my disappointment and surprise with my experience with him he walked out the room. I politely asked the office manager to remove the charge to my insurance, given he did not treat or consult with me. I will continue to follow up with the medical board regarding this experience. He has many positive reviews online, however, the Dr. Hashemi I saw did not deserve such praise. No one deserves the treatment I received and I plan to ensure that doesn't happen to anyone else. The office staff were amazing! Extremely nice, beyond accommodating.
I have seen Dr Hashemi for over 6 years now for numerous vascular procedures and have recommended him to others on numerous occasions. He is, apart from his trustworthy skills and knowledge very personable and responsive and a gentle soul! Annie Ruth RN CCM
A tremendous person and doctor. Would highly recommend.
I had two office visits, and overall, it was a disaster. First visit, the doctor spent about two minutes with me...I spent more time with the techs taking vitals and in the waiting room. I was sent by an orthopedic for a vascular ultrasound, based on MRI imaging that he wanted investigated properly. The doctor came in, took the pulse in my foot, said MRIs aren’t great for showing vascular irregularities (yeah, that’s why I’m here), but pulse felt fine, so he thought I was good to go. I said let’s go ahead & do the ultrasound for fun anyway, since that was sole purpose of my visit. Of course, the ultrasound tech wasn’t there that day (and at the time of scheduling that first appointment, I had stated that my orthopedic requested a vascular ultrasound), so I had to schedule another appointment (and pay another co-pay). In addition to the unsatisfying doctor interaction, the billing problems I experienced after this were horrendous. They charged an incorrect amount for my co-pay, and billed my insurance incorrectly as well. I spent the next 6 months trying to get this rectified. Complete & utter disaster.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
