He cancelled the hospitalist’s CT orders and the delay almost killed my husband. Charge nurse said he didn't like fat people. Then he pulled out the drain tube the next day. It had to be reinserted by a different Dr. so my husband wouldn't die from sepsis. He removed gallbladder but refused sufficient pain meds before and after.

Dr. Dekker saved my husband's life - literally! My husband was dying from a burst bowel and sepsis. If Dr. Dekker and the staff at Fairfax Hospital hadn't cleared their schedules (and an operating room) and gotten my husband into surgery so quickly, my husband would no longer be around to drive me crazy! 😄 Dr. Dekker was also wonderful at explaining everything to us afterward and took the time to answer my many questions!

i liked dr. decker very much. he is serious and gentlemanly, with a nice sense of humor. and he'a effective. he operated on me for LCIS almost 10 years ago, and I've had no problems since. i hearti;y recommend him.

If you are looking for a skilled, knowledgeable, competent, caring surgeon then Dr. Dekker is who you want. I have been a patient of Dr. Dekker for 18 or so years now and always leave my appointment feeling cared for and confident in my treatment plan. I take my hat off to Dr. Dekker.

Dr. Dekker repaired my hernia which the bowel was protruding through. No pain afterward. He is excellent.

Had my thyroid removed with Dr Dekker. He is a fantastic surgeon who has great bedside manner. He was very patient and answered all of my questions. Surgical experience was fantastic. I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend Dr Dekker to any of my friends or family.
