List of Jay C Tyroler's Reviews
I have literally scheduled appointments, driven 45 minutes to get to them, waited 20 minutes & then had the wrong doctor walk in and told I have to reschedule & come back… The lack of professionalism & respect for patients is insane
Not sure why this practice has such low reviews. My mom had been going to see Jay C. Tyroler (Mary specifically), for many many years and loved it, and it was recommended to me when I needed to switch from a pediatrician to a primary care when I turned 18. I have been going to Jay C. Tyroler for about three years now with no issues. My nurse practitioner, Mary is a gem. She is easy to talk with, and explains everything that she does/recommends very well. I have also had no issues with setting up appointments with the front desk before.
My experience is nothing about this hospital but the brown man name Adil zahoor ghouri is my mothers step brother he was born in lahore pakistan but his mother is my real grandma which means my moms mom I still have a picture of him and his sister tairaa and me. At that time i was 3to 4 years old, i tried to contact him on his hospitals number thats the only number i have and everytime his some assistances picks his phone and always says he is not here or he is not available thats why I don’t trust their assistants i really need to reach him so any of you can help me to reach Adil zahoor ghouri anyone please please
Seriously just go literally anywhere else, potentially save your own life
My wife and I have been patients of this location for past 12 years. All the doctors are great. A doctor's office or a hospital should try to make you feel welcomed and comfortable, however it is not the case when you talk in to the front desk, specially with Elizabeth at the front desk/scheduling or Beth the Nurse. At one occasion while I was spelling out my name to Elizabeth, as she asked me to during a scheduling call, she said I was really confusing her, and also rudely said "Hello Hello" few times in an attempt to interrupt me. I would never want to deal with this person ever again and have a bitter taste in my mouth when I am already not feeling well. Customer service job is not rocket science, all you have to do is put a smile and make things easier for both parties, neither Elizabeth (front desk) nor Beth (nurse) has good customer service quality.

I've been a patient here for more than 20 years -- but no more! The good points: 1) Drs. Tyroler and Yositis are top notch. The two PAs, Beverly and Mary Ellen, are great. The bad points: 1) The office staff has always been rude and contemptuous of patients. It's gotten worse recently since they became a "concierge" practice and began charging exorbitant monthly fees just to be an A-list patient. 2) The practice itself is stuck in the 1980s in patient care and communication. They actually asked me to fax something to them the other day! 3) The final straw: I had to cancel a physical due to work demands and cancelled it SIX days in advance! They had the nerve to tell me I never cancelled and charged me $100 for a skipped appointment. I have the phone records to prove I called. 4) I have asked to have the office manager call me on several occasions and even sent a letter directly to Dr. Tyroler via US mail (no email address, remember?) and no one has acknowledged to replied. I've now had to register complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Virginia Department of Health. I'm leaving this practice now, despite the good medical care I received there, because the office staff is just deplorable.
Dr. Jay Tyroler has been my doctor for 25 years. He is the most professional, caring & intelligent provider ever. He has saved my life. He takes time with his patients and listens intently. Dr. Tyroler is, by the way, voted Washingtonian Magazine TOP DOCTOR yearly ( a credible source - voted by other Physicians ).
Business office manager is terrible and will not work reasonably on billing problems. Recommend you find a different option (no shortage in the area!) or hope you don't encounter issues.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
