Desimone is a narcissist and has no empathy. Stay away she will only cause you harm.

I had been to several dermatology practices in this area, needing to take care of skin damage from a childhood in the tropics. Dr DeSimone was the most thorough and skilled practitioner I have encountered. She also treats the whole person, inquiring about my life in general, and remembering from year to year what my needs and concerns are. Her new location is wonderful, no parking problems anymore, and the whole experience left me feeling cared for, part of a community, and confident that my skin damage will not be allowed to grow into cancer.

I have seen DeSimone two times. I find her to be a narcissist and to lack empathy. I would give zero stars if I could. I will never let her near me again. STAY AWAY from her!

I have been seeing Dr. DeSimone for about three years post a lung transplant. She is totally professional and has a caring "bedside" manner. Additionally, I have always been treated with respect from the staff in her office

A close relative of mine is a patient of Dr Desimone and we are visiting her on regular basis. She is an exceptional specialist and she has a very good judgment how to narrow down the treatment based on situation and life style of the patient. We had to meet her a few times with short notice and she went out of her way to accommodate that. She is a very good doctor and has a great intuition about her patient; all her guesses were confirmed with future lab tests. She has a nurse Fe who was there after hours a few times to help us. I am so glad that we got her help and trusted her.

She is increasingly great. She spends lots of time explaining everything and patiently listen to our concern, no matter how unrealistic they are. She followed up with us and even accept to see us in short notices a few times. She tries to help us both for physical lesion and mentally calm us down. She has a combination of exceptionally great medical skills and compassion for patient who are going through a lot.

Initially, I viewed Dr. DeSimone as a very thorough and caring MD.- each visit thereafter she has disappointed me in her lack of attention and treatment being left to techs who are not trained, and my receiving useless treatments. Annual visits have come to a 5-minute scan with no attention to detail and my email after a photo therapy treatment and the invitation to contact her disregarded completely. I would not recommend her to anyone with serious skin problems who needs attention to detail

I found Derm Associates through Yelp when all of the derms in DC who were recommended by my former derm and colleagues were booked. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get an appointment with Jennifer DeSimone within a week of calling. I have struggled with acne for years and having seen 3 dermatologists in high school and college, I can confidently say that none of them could treat my acne as well as Jennifer has. After unsuccessful attempts with various antibiotics and topical creams, we decided that Accutane was the best solution for me. I was on accutane for 3 months and could not be happier with the results! During my time seeing Jennifer, I went from being told by one of my 8th grade students at my first job that "clear skin is sexy skin" to a proposal on graduation day from an 8th grader I taught as a long term sub. :) She's super nice and easy to talk to. Definitely worth the drive from DC!
