List of Jeremias C Tan's Reviews
Made a mistake in recording my weight in file and almost rescheduled my colonoscopy on the day of (AFTER prep was completed). Years later, have wrong prep instructions for endoscopy and that now needs to be repeated. Almost impossible to schedule an appointment or get timely responses from questions asked to doctor. Too many little mistakes and failure to communicate led me to feel unsafe with this practice.
Dr. Tan needs to improve his bedside manners. Has no warmth and makes patient feels like he is being inconvenienced by having them ask questions about what changes they can make to improve their GI health.
I am thankful for Dr Tan's skill and professionalism. I will not see any other Doctor for my colonoscopies. He called me personally when my results came in and referred me to a top notch oncologist and surgeon.
Dr. Tan is a wonderful doctor. My case has proven to be challenging over the years, yet he keeps pushing forward to address my health issues and work with me and my team of doctors to find a solution that involves not only medication but diet and lifestyle changes. He took the time to get to know me. That helps him come to proper diagnoses. His office is excellent at navigating the insurance process. Vicki his nurse assistant is amazing and awesome. She is perseverant in making sure my questions are answered and the pharmacy has the information they need in an efficient manner. Thank you for being part of my healthcare team!
I had to speak with Dr. Tan as he was the on-call physician for GANV over the weekend. He could not have been more arrogant and condescending. Unfortunately he gives the practice a very bad name.
This doctor is the worst I’ve ever seen in my life. The appointment was for my 10 yrs old daughter who had covid and was choking with food. He thought my daughter could drink 2,3 or 7 ensure a day and she will be fine with that if she can’t eat. He is very arrogant and don’t care about his patients. Stay away from this guy.
Very good care for me and he has been a great communicator. After about a year of subpar results with another doctor, he changed my medications immediately. This has had a wonderful impact on my life. Thanks Dr. Tan
I review this doctor on his (in)ability to communicate to his patients. My mother was admitted to ER at Inova Fairfax. Per preliminary tests, Dr. Tan was blunt, condescending, and outright offensive to my mom with his diagnosis. He told her: "I'm not trying scare you, but you may die without a liver transplant, but you'll probably be disqualified given your history" (Really??). Most doctors are objective and compassionate with their patients, not judgmental and patronizing. But, this doctor was definitely the latter and the exception. Dr. Tan may possess medical senses, but he certainly lacks the simple common senses that make us human -- humility, kindness, sincerity, compassion, etc. UPDATE: My mom is making a full recovery thanks to the other genuinely caring doctors and nurses at Inova.
This dude was a jerk, he can't communicate, he will tell you he thinks your pain is funny, and then provide you with 0 followup instructions.
This dude was a complete jerk. 100% unable to communicate, thought my pain was "funny" and provided 0 followup. Avoid.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
