I highly recommend Dr. Cleland - she is the brightest and the best. I recently had emergency surgery for obstructed bowel - she was kind, caring, knowledgeable and compassionate. She explained every step of the process and is an outstanding surgeon. She was very confident and thorough, five stars are not enough for her.

Dr. Cleland is a wonderful, caring doctor with lots of energy. Although I just had an office procedure, she took the time to explain what would be done and made sure I was comfortable and pain-free. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Cleland.

Had abdominal and hernia surgery in 2017 from Dr Cleland. The surgery was performed with perfection and follow up post op visits were very caring and informative. I am very grateful.

Dr. Cleland was incredibly kind and immediately put me at ease. I had gallbladder problems for 10 years, and she fixed them completely. Before my procedure, she spent time with my family making sure they understood what to expect. Following my surgery, she checked back in, and she even gave me a recipe to make a gallbladder free Thanksgiving dinner doable! I highly recommend her.

Dr Kathleen Cleland goes above and beyond in patient care. With a second diagnosis of breast cancer fear and anger consumed me. After the 1st consult on how we were going to start the fight against this new cancer. Dr Cleland had both my husband and I feeling so much relief on what was coming. Caring, compassionate and extremely competent in her surgical skills and care of her patients. It’s been over two years and I still see Dr Cleland and her staff! I am absolutely thrilled I found her when I needed a Dr just like her! I highly recommend her. She has become more of a friend that happens to also be my Dr! Love her Nurse as well. Office staff in Alexandria office are the best as well!

I recently had minor surgery performed by Dr. Cleland and I would highly recommend her. I choose her due to comments made by others so now I want to take the chance to state that she is an excellent surgeon. She is personable, makes you feel comfortable and listens to you and explains everything.

Dr. Cleland is the best and the best surgeon ever. She is very patient, very kind and very confident. Most of all, she knows exactly what’s wrong and gets it fixed right away. She is really a life saver. I have had problems with my abdominal area for over a year and no one was able to figure it out until I made an appointment to meet with Dr. Cleland, she solved the issue in a week! How amazing! Highly highly recommended! She is amazing!
