I have a family history of sudden cardiac death while exercising. I was seeing Dr. Epps for preventative care. During my most recent visit, my EKG and Echo were abnormal. I sent her multiple portal messages and called the office multiple times to ask questions on what this means and how to proceed--she ignored my attempts to contact her. Finally, after one of my multiple calls, her nurse spoke with me and provided advice. She stated Dr. Epps would order further testing. A few days later, the office called and scheduled me for a tentative visit with Dr. Epps to discuss the results of the additional testing. When I called a few weeks later to confirm, there was no record of this visit. In addition, when my testing resulted, I received an impersonal portal message. There was no discussion of follow-up, what testing I would need in the future, etc. Dr. Epps is a great doctor if you have nothing wrong and no questions, but is otherwise inaccessible and detached.

Dr. Epps is a talented and compassionate surgeon. She inserted a stent in my Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery in February 2021. She spend a lot of time with my spouse and I before the procedure explaining exactly what she thought needed to be done and why. I had the feeling she was treating me the way she would want her own father to be treated. After the procedure, she told me exactly what she had done. She was warm and compassionate, yet professional. I would trust her anytime with anyone I cared about.

I was so anxious seeing Dr. Epps, as I have been dealing with a lot of issues. She took her time, was thorough, and explained my situation and options moving forward. She is the first cardiologist I’ve gone to that made me feel like she CARED!!! Her credentials are impeccable too!

Dr. Epps was attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in me as both a patient and a person. I am very pleased I found such a great doctor. I love my new doctor!!!!!
