Kimberly A Matzie Md's Online Review Report Card

Today marks the 1 year anniversary since I had robotic surgery for rectal prolapse with Dr. Kimberly Matzie. If I could give her a 0, I would. I strongly advise against even considering having surgery with her. If I would have done my homework properly, I would have sought multiple opinions and even traveled out of the area to have the surgery done correctly. Unfortunately my surgery was done while COVID was peaking and I opted not to go out of state. She will tell you that she does robotics but she doesn't have the experience, as she has done very few similar procedures and her skill set is poor at best. I woke up in pain with the inability to sit immediately post-op and a year later I still cannot sit. I have sought consults from seven other surgeons as far away as Atlanta and they all agree that my surgery was a complete failure. A 2nd surgery is extremely difficult to do since they have to remove all the mesh and then figure out how to do a repair with the badly damaged tissue.

Dr. Kimberly Matzie is one of the best hemorrhoid specialists I have ever seen. During the examination of the first visit, Dr. Kimberly diagnosed my hemorrhoids and procedures internal hemorrhoid rubber band ligation. I strongly believe that I will get rid of hemorrhoids after the completion of two more procedures with Dr. Kimberly Matzie. I will definitely recommend Dr. Kimberly Matzie who is looking for hemorrhoids treatment.

I visited Dr. Matzie's office for a hemmorroid removal. I was in her office no more than 15 minutes. She examined me and said I did not have a hemorroid, only a skin tag and stated it was not a medically necessary surgery -however I can have it removed later if I do a colonoscopy with her in the future. I left. No surgery was removed. A week later, I received a bill for "SURGERY" of a hemorroid that was never performed. I left a message for her office and an individual called me -this person conceded that no surgery was performed but explained that they used the surgery code b/c to examine me they need to use a surgical tool. I asked her what her resolution was...b/c I stated I was not going to pay for a surgery that was never performed. She said that she was going to hang up b/c the conversation was becoming unpleasant. She then hung up with no resolution or explanation offered. By the way, I understand from my insurance that Dr. Matzie was PAID for the "surgery" that never occurred.

I dont think you can find a more compassionate or skilled surgeon than Dr. Matzie! She has a very gentle and friendly manner than instantly puts me at ease. I adore her and highly recommend!

Dr. Matzie is great. She is extremely professional, has a great bedside manner, and is an excellent surgeon. Would highly recommend her to anyone that wants an expert in this field.

Matzie's great. I love it when a surgeon tries to triage before going to surgery. She's suggested many helpful strategies to mitigate the need for surgery. I really respect her expertise and appreciate her empathy.
