Hands down a thorough expert in breast cancer. She detailed what I had (DCIS) and the goal of preventative care moving forward. She presented each option and what to expect with each option. After a brief discussion with my family regarding my age, early findings, family history and current family situation, I decided on having nipple sparing bilateral Mastectomy. Her coordinator Ruth! Ruth was the nurturing voice with so much information to review and always there to help providing resources to equip myself to make a decision. With Dr. Edmiston‘s expertise and Ruth’s knowledge, experience and caring nature with patients, the team is hands down THE BEST. I highly Recommend them and so happy I was referred to them. Dr.Edmiston is the best doctor for breast cancer! She is a skilled surgeon and an expert in the treatment of breast cancer. She and her staff have successfully guided me through two separate (and different) episodes of breast cancer. I was able to be seen quickly when diagnosed and indicated surgery was scheduled in a timely fashion. She is thorough when discussing treatment options. She has many resources available for pre and post-op support making a difficult process much easier.

Dr. Edminston is a thorough and amazing surgeon. She explained everything in detail and made you feel important. She also gave you options and was very patient. Thorough and knowledgable!

Dr. Edmiston is wonderful! She made me feel so comfortable and safe throughout the process of having a tubular adenoma removed. She is a very professional and excellent surgeon, and her office staff is lovely!

This is who you want to do your breast cancer surgery . I was diagnosed in October 2012, let's just say I feel your fear! Dr. Edmiston was so thorough in reviewing my test rests. She explained that there are 4 steps to dealing with cancer.1) diagnosis 2) removal of the cancer (her job and by the way, a nurse that works that surgical unit told me, " she always gets the margins!" 3) radiation - she had picked my radiologist 4) oncologist- great referral! Awesome Dr.!

I have never complained about a doctor in my entire life, but I really do need to say something about this doctor. I came with a lot of questions about my condition and surgery. She didn't like this one bit, so decided to "put me in my place" by describing my surgery and drawing a diagram, then asking me to "repeat what I have just told you." I felt the blood rush to my head I was so offended and should have walked out right then and there, but I hate confrontation, so I stayed. Next, I was put in a room with a couch, chairs and a coffee table with the door closed "for my privacy" which I found extremely odd and uncomfortable. I was left there for about 10 minutes. and was about to walk out the door when the doctor came and said that she had an opening for my surgery in the next month. I told her I wanted to wait until after the first of the year because of all the holiday trips, etc. that we would be taking. At that point she said, "well....IF you were MY mother......!" That did it. I am NOT her mother and was extremely angry with this "sales pitch!" I still have not had my surgery and will be seeking a second opinion. I will never go back to this office. My condition was not an emergency. I have a benign papaloma.

Dr. Edmiston did my breast cancer surgery in Nov. 2013. She took time to talk with my husband & daughter & explained everything clearly to them. What I remember the most about her caring way, is when she took my hand in the operating room & told me they would take good care of me. I responded to her that I trust them. She is an excellent surgeon & I do recommend her to anyone.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Edmiston. She ordered an MRI prior to surgery to make sure there was nothing else going on. Turns out, there was. I appreciated how thorough she was. She took the time to explain everything and answer all questions. I have seen her twice for follow ups and each time she was caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend her. She is an excellent surgeon and diagnostician.
